We had out Hallowe'en party, yesterday, infact.

But it would've helped if more of the songs had been performed on the X Factor. And does anyone think Stay will chart top 75 tommorrow? The rate it's climbing, it must be selling thousands.

Might just sneak inside the top 40 :D if the track gets top 10 quickly before midnite

I hope it does get top 10 actually! I don't like the song that much, but I prefer it to the current iTunes #10.

That's not gonna happen...

It going top 10 on iTunes, or it going top 40 officially?

If you bear in mind that the iTunes chart is based on 48 hours (we think, at least), and Stay has only been selling for, what, 2 hours?

If we're understading the iTunes chart correctly, Stay has sold more in a couple of hours than Let the Sun Shine has sold in 2 days, and it's still got an hour of sales to go. Plus, Friday and Saturday are, along with Monday and Sunday, the days of the week with the highest sales. It'll definitely go top 75, at least.

I can dream :teresa:

I meant going top 40 officially tomorrow, it won't happen. Maybe top 100?

does anyone know where Mad World was roughly at this time after Aiden performed it?

Lower.

Btw, not that it matters much (and I doubt anyone cares except me) but You're History is also at #712 and Hello (Turn Your Radio On) at #996... good to see a couple more SS songs getting a minor boost from this

It spend 8 weeks at #1, best selling single of the year, it deserves to be in the chart again, please let it be top 10, or even top 5

Well, it did spend 8 weeks at no. 1 but at a time when singles sales were atrocious. It was the fourth biggest selling single of 1992 behind 'I Will Always Love You' (no. 1), 'Rhythm Is A Dancer' (no. 2) and 'Would I Lie To You?' (no. 3).

However, it would be incredible to see 'Stay' making the charts again. I watched that Popstar To Operastar show that was broadcast earlier this year and Marcella Detroit was one of the contestants and she was still able to belt out some stunning vocals. Such a shame when Darius (of all contestants) ended up winning. :manson:

I reckon Rihanna's got competition now tbh, nobody saw this coming.

Would love to see the band reform, I think Siobhan fell out with Marcella, they did have quite a few catchy tracks in such a short spell together.

I think Rihanna will pretty much roadblock any momentum for "Stay" once she performs tomorrow...and 24 hours is a long time for it to fade.

I don't think so.

I expect Stay to drop dramatically during the course of the week, i think it will go top 10 but will fall out with 6 new entries pushing for top 10!

I don't think they'll get to #1, or even close. If the song goes top 10 on iTunes, I think it'll do really well, with everybody being reminded of the song during the week when they go on iTunes, Buzzjack, Top 40 websites, etc, but if it stalls at #11, then it'll probably drop during the week, as it won't have any major promotion during the week.
