Posted November 2, 201014 yr Swedish singer Tove Styrke came 3rd? in Sweden's Idols contest last year. Her debut single, Million Pieces was decent quirky pop, but god this is amazing. It's definitely Robyn-esque but also quite original I'd say. Joyous pop song  I NEED it in HQ! I considered not mentioning it and sending it to the next BJSC but that could be weeks away and this needs attention now  I'd love to see her in Melodifestivalen next year although I guess she doesn't exactly need it when she's got material as good as this to make it into the charts on her own merits. B7dTjGfV6bQ It's out on UK iTunes on Sunday :w00t:
November 2, 201014 yr Author Sorry, I hadn't realised you'd been considering it for BJSC too - I guess it was destined to be another Le Kid type situation. Far too good to stay under the radar, the hype was inevitable, it's all over the other forums/blogs - there was no way it was going to stay unmentioned for another month!
November 2, 201014 yr Is it ACTUALLY out on UK iTunes on Sunday, or is this Tone Damli Part II? (I wonder if Tone Damli did an acoustic version of White Light Moment? :kink:)
November 2, 201014 yr Author Is it ACTUALLY out on UK iTunes on Sunday, or is this Tone Damli Part II? (I wonder if Tone Damli did an acoustic version of White Light Moment? :kink:) No it genuinely is. Well it's up for pre-order download on Play and Amazon for Sunday anyway so one can only assume that iTunes will get it too, seeing as Million Pieces is already on there (in fact I downloaded it from there a few months back). Seeing as The Flood is out on the same day, my Sunday will be filled with glorious HQ's of incredible pop songs  Now all I need is Le Kid and Zowie in HQ - where the HELL are they hiding if you don't have a Sweden/NZ iTunes account? :drama:
November 2, 201014 yr This is rather epic Is it ACTUALLY out on UK iTunes on Sunday, or is this Tone Damli Part II? (I wonder if Tone Damli did an acoustic version of White Light Moment? :kink:) Talking of Tone Damli, she has new material out!!!!!! :cheer: And she is finally being released on Monday  No it genuinely is. November 2, 201014 yr Author This is rather epic God bless my Australian iTunes account  Now, if only i could get some credit for it..... Nice to see you like it :D Oh and if you do get credit and ever get to download Broken Machine in HQ, you know where to send it! Bizarrely, the EP's on UK iTunes but only has 3 remixes. The music video's also on there but not the radio edit!!! Not impressed! You called to me so I've had a listen... quite like this on first listen. :o Good to hear. It's a huge grower as well  I'd point you in the direction of her previous single Million Pieces too, but it's sort of quirky Robyn-lite, whereas I feel this song gets away with being slightly different from Robyn's pop stuff. She has an album out later on in the month which is being added to UK download sites on the 14th. I don't know that I'll be able to afford it but I'm definitely interested.

The differences in our music tastes are shrinking with every u-turn i do  If i get credit for the account i will send Broken Machine your way :funky: EDIT - It's not on iTunes AU :o

November 2, 201014 yr The youtube rip isn't dire quality. I reckon i can get a decent quality rip out of it. The only thing i can find online is the RAC mix
November 2, 201014 yr Author The youtube rip isn't dire quality. I reckon i can get a decent quality rip out of it. The only thing i can find online is the RAC mix I've got as HQ a Youtube rip I can get out of it but I still would love it in proper CDQ/iTunes+ Same goes for Backseat, one of my favourite songs of the year and I still only have a fairly rough rip of it - it's sitting there on iTunes Norway and Sweden and I can't access it! I hate country restrictions, I wish we just had one worldwide store! Same here, but it's nowhere near as good :(
November 2, 201014 yr I don't have Backseat either :drama: You should have picked up a card for iTunes Sweden when you were there for MF. If i ever go i'll be picking up a card and will day trip it to Norway just to get an iTunes card and pick up a few thousand CD's I hate country restrictions too. :( They can be a real pain in the ass!

I would have done if I hadn't been too ill to go  And I didn't even think about it the year before to be honest :o I'd spend the whole thing in half an hour anyway :drama:
November 2, 201014 yr I'd spend a bloody fortune in Norway and Sweden on music :drama: I went out to buy just 4 albums in Aus and came back with a truck load
November 3, 201014 yr I went out to buy just 4 albums in Aus and came back with a truck load This happened to me when I went into Europe. I had a list of about 8-10 CDs I wanted and came back with about 40  . This Tove Styrke song is pretty good, will need a couple more listens for me to get into it, but it would have made a fantastic MF entry.

Blimey  Your bags must have been significantly heavier on the way back than on the way there! True, although it would be the worst thing ever if it finished 5th in it semi or something and thus went ignored by the Swedish public. It's doing alright there, been top ten on iTunes for about a week! I know I shouldn't compare them but I guess with Tove using this sound it's inevitable - the one thing that's really lacking from MF being 'the best thing ever', which it very nearly is, is the fact that Robyn's never participated :snif: Although I think the competition would be over before it had begun if she ever did!

I had to buy an extra bag in Milan to keep them in :kink: . I'm not sure I'd like Robyn to compete now, her music is not as grand as it used to be and no doubt there'd be about 15 other songs I'd much prefer to win.

I bet all that extra weight wasn't fun though! Don't say that out loud on here! A lot of posters think that she's been at her best this year! Not me of course as With Every Heartbeat and Be Mine still trample all over anything she's put out this year, but that said, Body Talk Pt. 2 is definitely a stunning album for me, and Body Talk/Pt.3 has the makings of being truly amazing.

No it wasn't, it was quite awkward backpacking with a backpack, shoulder bag and another bag of CDs and souvenirs  Oh really? Her stuff this year has been OK, but so many tracks from the self titled album are better. I preferred Part 2 to Part 1 personally, but I think it would have been better if she'd picked the best 10 or so tracks from all three and released them on one album.
