The Pogues are ahead of Mariah already :o

Mariah is in the official top 200 right now while The Pogues aren't, so she's continued the trend of starting ahead of The Pogues, but The Pogues generally don't overtake until mid-December...

Good they've ovetraken though as FONY >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> AIWFCIY

does xmas fall like last year so the pogues have a chance of a number 1 airplay hit again?
I would just LOVE for McFly to overtake Take That? How far apart are they?

I wonder who'll get top 10 out of the BEPs and Pink when Shayne falls out. I hope it's the BEPs. :D

I also don't think Rihanna has a chance at having longest run at #1 this year. I think JLS are bound to dethrone her in a few days, at least briefly. Plus, she's still 2 weeks behind Pass Out's 3.5 weeks at #1.

Shayne falling is good- looks like another Ambitions - style drop for this after top 10 this week- Its not that I have anything against him, its just the song is just terrible

shame for Take That though- hopefully their physicals should keep them at 2 officially- as long as they stay top 5 in itunes, and it should get a boost from XF- I really hope it doesnt plummet :(

3.5?

I wouldnt really count number 1 in the midweeks to their total- not everyone sees the mids

Eric is referring to being #1 on iTunes - Tinie was #1 for the whole of Telephone's first week at #1 and half of its second week.

deadmau5's Some Chords at #92 - could he get a *third* un-promoted top 100 hit? :o

No, I was talking about the iTunes charts, which are live, so you aren't necessarily number-one for an integer number of weeks.

Tinie Tempah was #1 in the official charts for only 2 weeks, but he was #1 on the iTunes chart for 3 and a half weeks (roughly). The reason he didn't get #1 officially for 3 weeks was because Telephone was at #3 and #11 during Pass Out's 3rd week at iTunes #1, so sold more overall that week. I remember nearly everybody on here (even me! :o) was desperate for Gaga to beat Tinie, as it was really close that week, with Tinie being #1 in the Friday mids, but only just.

Actually, don't quote me on this, but I think the Pass Out/Telephone chart battle produced the longest Sunday Chart Show thread in Buzzjack history! At the time, I think a lot of people thought it was Telephone's only chance at getting #1. :o

Hasn't sorted out the pop bars yet but if we believe Katy Perry and McFly haven't changed much its tiny!

Cannot believe The Flood is doing so badly - I know its still top 3 - but the hype of it all - TT with Nobbie back in etc. I thought this was a cert to sell well over 100k to be honest. Yet to be kept off the top spot by a nearly 3 week old single is quite bad really - no matter how good Only Girl Is.

Also McFly still top 5 - and its Wednesday! bloody good for them

absolutely amazed that the public have kept on buying that rihanna trash over take that.....their album will blow hers away next week tho so they'll get the last laugh

We all thought the Flood was a cert to dethrone - whilst 'm sure they will get the number 1 album, the sales will be interesting

ah, right- thanks for clarifying :D

I think it was apart from the christmas thread- I hated Pass Out at the time though, so I and A LOT of other BJ members were cheering for Telephone to get there- I was quite happy when it did :D

Yeah. I'm much more a fan of Tinie than I am of Gaga, but there's a layer of overlap, and Telephone was my favourite Lady Gaga single to date, at the time (bar Chillin'), whilst I hated Pass Out a lot. While I've grown to appreciate the brilliance of Pass Out over time, I still don't love it now, and I literally, almost vomited the first time I heard it. Seriously, I woke up and saw it #1 on iTunes, I was like "What on Earth is the song I've never heard before, by a girl called Tinie doing at #1"? Then I go to school, and I heard this absolutely vile song, and then someone was like "It's called Pass Out, by Tiny Tempest", and I was like "Oh, but she sounds like a man...oh wait".

But I was also happy Telephone got #1, also because I enjoy have a high turnover of #1s.

And I'm happy to see Deja Vu approaching the top 40! :D Hopefully it keeps climbing into next week!
