I don't think it's anything amazing, pretty throwaway actually. One of those songs that would probably sound better when drunk in a club.

Me too. It's like Tik Tok, utter trash, but you can't help liking it.

 

Anyway, can't BELIEVE nobody mentioned Hurts! They've got to be a good outside bet for top 20 next week no?

It was on Eastenders last night...

 

They've been hovering in the Top 100 of iTunes for a while now, I fail to see how they'll manage to scrape Top 40 personally!

 

Multiple versions + physicals (they're popular with Radio 2 listeners that still buy physical music) and the fact that unlike the last two the song is charting before official release means that Stay HAS to go top 30, I'd bet money on it.

The chief reason the last two weren't charting before original release was because they weren't available.

 

Well, a remix of Wonderful Life was available, and it was in the iTunes top 130 IIRC the week before WL's release, but that's a remix so it's a bit different.

 

I'df love Stay to go top 40 but I don't think there's a great chance of it happening.

 

Stay was a stupid choice anyway, surely Illuminated was the most obvious single? As it charted at #68 in the week of the album's release.

It went as high as #63 last night so it's now falling.

Hurts are so underated. I bought their album today, and it's honestly fantastic.

Stay deserves top 10, it really will be criminal if it doesn't make top 40!

im sure there will be a good few entries in the top 200 tonight, i cried at two performances on TXF!

Ellie up to #13 knocking Far*East Movement down to 14...

Elton's Your Song at #147 and #244, the Alessandro Safina cover of Your Song is #255...

 

...and Mockingbird is #299. None of the actual Elton performances are top 300 but the only non-Elton one is :lol:

 

Also Yeo Valley Rap is back at #34

Surprised Far East Movement aren't Top 10 yet- I don't particularly like the song, but I would've thought it'd be Top 10 already after the fake version charted so high.

Ellie should be top 10 in no time- shame no one sang it on XF, it could have got that version even higher- plus its surprising seeing as its one of Elton's signature songs :o

 

no Elton John songs have entered the top 100- the highest ironically is Your Song at 103

 

Yeo Valley Rap back again :lol: I hope it stays top 40 this time :)
