November 10, 201015 yr Phew, they are still supporting Alesha. Was very worried and Radio is just too good to be a flop, hope it can get at least into the top 10. Also really glad Florence & Far East Movement have been moved up to A-list, Willow has been moved up to B-list and also glad the BEP havent moved. Wish they had moved Nicole up though :(
November 10, 201015 yr Paolo must be sucking someone at R1... You mean Ellie Goulding must be. Oh, wait...
November 10, 201015 yr Nice to see they're still sticking with Alesha even if she is now seemingly incapable of getting a top 10 hit (I'm hoping 'Radio' changes this but I'm not holding my breathe). I see they're snubbing Duffy's Well Well Well though (relesead in 2 weeks time), which whilst I realize the world and it's dog knows she'll underperform, she was huge last time round so it's somewhat suprising.
November 10, 201015 yr Ellie straight onto B :o Does anyone have any idea when we should get to hear it?
November 10, 201015 yr Paolo must be sucking someone at R1... Isn't that song coming out for about the third time anyway?
November 10, 201015 yr You mean Ellie Goulding must be. Oh, wait... greg james must have been on the playlist discussion team this week.itake it its off a revamped album for xmas?
November 10, 201015 yr how are jls still there? dreadful song It's not even out yet, they wouldn't remove it. I'm really glad to see they're still willing to support Alesha. I love her, the song and I hope it does well but I think it could roughly follow the chart performance of her Roll Deep featuring. :(
November 10, 201015 yr good to see that quality gorillaz track in the alist and why oh why biffy in the alist again, i love biffy clyro but this is single no7?!?!? that james blake track is haunting and more naked and famous but it better move to the clist this time!!
November 10, 201015 yr good to see that quality gorillaz track in the alist and why oh why biffy in the alist again, i love biffy clyro but this is single no7?!?!? Not only that, but it's a bloody stupid single choice and they STILL haven't released 'Born On A Horse'. I hope it fails to chart completely. <_<
November 10, 201015 yr it probably wont chart but the album will stay top 40 at the most important time of the year which is why its been released i suppose!!
November 10, 201015 yr it probably wont chart but the album will stay top 40 at the most important time of the year which is why its been released i suppose!! Surely picking 'Born On A Horse' would be even wiser still in that case? It's mindless.
November 10, 201015 yr You mean Ellie Goulding must be. Oh, wait... ...she's female. Never mind. Edited November 10, 201015 yr by Ghetto Speak
November 10, 201015 yr Your Song is an Elton John cover. Music Week report; John Lewis Xmas ad to feature Ellie Goulding FRUKT on Brands: UK retail brand John Lewis is to roll out its Christmas ad campaign this weekend during The X Factor, a campaign that will once again centre on the use of an emotive music sync. The 60-second ad, which focuses in on various people in the process of wrapping presents, will feature Ellie Goulding's version of the famous Elton John track 'Your Song'. The cover version, which has been produced in collaboration with Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, will also be used in shorter 30-second spots. “We all have our well worn rituals at this time of year and we wanted to bring them to life in this campaign,” said Craig Inglis, director of marketing at John Lewis.. The new commercial follows on in a similar vein from the successful ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’ ad campaign back in April, which featured The Guillemots Fyfe Dangerfield singing a cover of the Billy Joel track ‘Always A Woman’. Ellie Goulding was specifically chosen to compliment the brand’s uniquely British status. Last year the retailer opted for a stripped down cover version of Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ as performed by Swedish singer Victoria Bergsman’s solo project, Taken by Trees. The new ad runs from the 13 November for five weeks and the Ellie Goulding track will be made available to purchase via both iTunes and Johnlewis.com I'm interested to see how it sounds, although I can imagine it in my head already!
November 10, 201015 yr Oh Ellie covering Elton John? I love 'Your Song' so I hope she does it well :S
