Could she be #1 next week ?

Could she be #1 next week ?

X Factor Finalist single comes out on Sunday - so I am guessing that will be number 1 for a week and then drop heavily down the charts

:o Rihanna and Drake so close to the top 10 - if they could get in, they could well stay there into next week, otherwise they'll fall to about 30 by the end of the weekend.

Can't help but laugh at Westlife's decline.

McFly are still at 9 I see! They've been steady in sales all week and I hope that continues into next.

loving S&M so much, i would prefer it as the 2nd single to what's my name?, but seen as that has taken off so much i guess S&M is better off as the 3rd single.

Rihanna will probably be the biggest selling singles artist in the UK in 2010

Change the number at the end:

...topsongs/limit=300/xml

Change 300 to 898998 for example ;)

I have tried it multiple times, it just doesn't work with this type of URL: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/rss/topsongs/limit=300/xml

Even if you put in 310 etc., it still won't show the numbers, just the songs.

This is obviously a new type of iTunes generated RSS feed, look at how different it is to the one this thread is suggesting. Perhaps it's an issue with the new Internet Explorer 9, but I still think there must be a way around it. :( :(

That's because you're using the wrong link.

Try the ACTUAL links in the first post.

Like I said in my previous post, I WAS using the ACTUAL link.

Can someone please help? I just started using IE9 and the usual iTunes RSS feed I was using doesn't seem to work anymore (the one derived from this very thread). The iTunes RSS generator site gives me the following link: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/rss/topsongs/limit=300/xml which is entirely usable but it does not show the chart numbers, it just lists the songs in order like usual but with no 1, 2, 3 etc. placement beside them.

Any help appreciated :( .

Which was why I went to the iTunes feed generator to get some help. Anyway, whatever thanks for the help.

Do you think westlife will miss the top 10 ?

Someone mentioned they're performing on CIN, but it will be close, as the songs ahead of it will have the weekend effect.

A lot of the acts ahead are performing on the same show so I doubt it will make much of a difference.

Begging for What's my Name to crack the top 10 !!

Just The Way You Are is becoming overrated!

I'm sure 'What's My Name' will make the top 10 by this time tomorrow - prior to Children In Need. How much of an impact CIN will have tomorrow night is left to be seen.

Really surprised at how well Ellie Goulding is doing. I just logged onto Buzzjack expecting to see JLS still at no. 1 on iTunes but 'Your Song' has got there. :o

It does seem inevitable that 'Heroes' will be #1 but how much longer can Simon Cowell milk the "charity" card? I thought it was inevitable that 'Shame' and 'The Flood' would be UK no. 1 hits - it just seemed really obvious from the offset, but Cee Lo Green and Rihanna proved that no matter how hyped a single is, it is not guaranteed #1.

Would be "a little bit funny" ( :kink: ) if Ellie kept The X Factor Finalists 2010 off the no. 1 spot - it happened in Sweden last week (their group charity single entered at #2 behind a Swedish artist at #1), so why not in the UK?

I'd love nothing more than X-Factor Finalists to be kept off next week, but I'm preparing for the worst. Mind you, their sales did decrease massively last year compared to the previous year...

If not, Olly Murs will be the next biggest contender, although the buzz around this is minimal compared to the last single. Does he have an X-Factor performance slot? I expect he must do if Diana Vickers and Shayne Ward managed to bag one.

Yup he performs this week, as well as Alicia Keys.

Im very glad Ellie G is number 1 and all- its just a shame that its not with an original song as they were brilliant :(

Take That and Westlife freefalling a bit now- although CIN should keep TT at 2 and Westlife in the top 10 (just)

apparently, someone is singing Hey Jude on saturday- so that could well go top 10 next week, plus the songs performed could all go top 40

and I would love Ellie Goulding to go to number 1 next week (she obviously wont be there this week) but Im fully expecting The X Factor Finalists to get there but with less than 200k and freefall afterwards mind

Apparantly he does. Go Olly!!! Grab that second UK #1 smash.
