I was going to say I guess McFly will be pushed out of the top 10 now with the X Factor/ Olly heading for it, but I just noticed they're at 8 :o

 

Wow, could still be top 10 then. Just about. Fingers crossed.

I can't see any of these songs making any impact !

I agree with this, except I liked 'Mercy' but didn't like anything else by her. Same with ADELE and 'Chasing Pavements'.

 

I actually liked everything Adele did but that song, it was painful.

It would be amazing if Shine A Light can stay top 10 - it should climb to #7 soon overtaking Adele :o

 

It'd be their first single to have 3 weeks in the top 10 since 'All About You' spent 5 weeks top 10 back in 2005 :o

I'm not really enjoying the charts atm. It's nowhere near as good as it was back in May-July imo, which is a shame, as it was awesome this time last year. Although this may be because I'm not a huge fan of boy bands and pop ballads. :lol: That said, Love You More and Your Song have been growing on me. :)

 

Also, I've really liked most songs by both Adele and Duffy, although I still haven't heard Duffy's new song yet.

I really couldn't physically get over Duffy flopping :(

 

I think that's a rather melodramatic comment, though I find its slow start puzzling too.

 

It hasn't been helped by an extreme lack of video play on Sky, though. Also, radio has almost totally ignored it, too - just #62 on airplay last week. :cry:

1 X Factor Finalists 2010 (but will slip down during the week and remain no.1 officially)

2 Ellie Goulding

4 Olly Murs (he will slip down too and officially chart at the low end of the top 10)

Hadn't realised it had been that long. I'll be so chuffed if it does, and more so if future singles could do the same. They're definitely regaining popularity.

Duffy needs to do a new version with that Shirlena woman off X-Factor with "release me, release you" which I think would help her cause.

 

I really hope that X-Factor tripe is #1. I am starting a slander campaign against this. Why can't we be like some eastern nations where character assasination works?

I think XF finalists will be at 2 or 3 with Heroes, but will top the chart officially with physicals added

I know their Album will chart very low today but promotion for that had been rubbish and i think around Xmas and New singles time it could rise more.

 

I don't think Shine a Light will be in the top 15 next week though

I really hope Gorillaz go top 40. 4 really good singles this year, they deserve at least one chart hit! :(

 

 

exactly, stylo would have been top 20 if they hadnt messed up the release.suppose damon albarn doesnt care about the chart position any more, but it does mess up the album sales as radio look at the lack of the top 40 entry as a flop and so stop playing the single quicker!!
