15,000,000 watch the X Factor, and this song might sell, what, 300,000? You do the math.

What has this got to do with anything? My point wasn't even specifically related to the X Factor charity single. I was merely responding to Silver Rocket's post by saying that a lot of people in this country only care about charity if it gets paraded around in front of them (charity singles, telathons etc). That's not necessarily a bad thing, infact it's a good thing of course. But still kind of sad that people need to be reminded by some big promo event, really.

I'd actually give money to charity if it was to guarantee X-Factor Finalists weren't Top 10!

I'd give a fortune.

I'd love for Hero to re-enter, just because it would be really funny.

The song isn't too bad either. I've not heard Heroes, is it better or worse than the other two singles?

Shakespears Sister back up to #29! :o

Some people are downloading Hero instead of Heroes can anyone see the connection there

X Factor Finalists 2008 are going to be #1 :D

Yeah, I see what you mean. Although I find I'm the same. I donate to charity, but only when I see someone standing there collecting money in the town centre, or only when there's a charity event at school, etc. It's not that I don't want to donate, it's just that I guess I'm a little bit self-centered, and it's not the sort of thing I think of doing everyday, unless I'm reminded by someone, if that makes sense. That's not very good of me, I know. :(

Although I used to work in a charity shop, so that makes up for some of it!

Perhaps the X Factor could promote the charities, but not release a single. Like just give ways to donate, and have the contestents encourage their fans to donate (although I guess it might be seen as pointless, as then it wouldn't really have anything to do with the show, although it would be a nice thing to do).

I do like the concept of charity songs, but what might be my favourite song of all-time was denied a #1 because of a charity song a couple of years ago. :(

Olly  #7

Shakespears Sister  #27

X Factor Finalists 08  #38

Right Through Me, Fly, Roman's Revenge, Monster and All of the Lights are available to download now, unless I am mistaken. I can see them all going top 300 at least.

I'd love 'Monster' to do well especially. Song of the YEAR.

Obviously more Kanye and Nicki in the chart would be a bonus.

Gotta love hip hop tbh. It's such a united genre of music. I love all the collabs they do and how the artists talk about each other in their songs (even though a lot of the time they're just insulting each other ). I also just love how they can rap over each others songs and nobody cares a lot of the time, whilst in other genres, if you want to sample or cover a song, you often have to pay bucketloads of money, and if the song gets successful, the original artists sometimes whine about it for years and years. I mean, you don't see Jay-Z whining about Alicia Keys covering Empire State of Mind, or you don't see will.i.am kicking and screaming when suddenly the likes of 50 Cent and Flo Rida want to rap over Boom Boom Pow. :)

Only problem with All Of The Lights is that it's only credited as Kanye on the iTunes album - so none of the featured artists are credited at all. I'm not sure how much that will affect its "cherrypicking potential" - could still get quite a lot but it would have picked up a lot of casual interest if it credited Rihanna at least considering she sings the entire hook!

It's definitely going to be big when it's officially released anyway, immense track.

Olly now number 4.

Hopefully top 3 in the morning.

Who is actually buying 'Oily Muck's' singles?

Why is Jessie releasing today? the song has no airplay whatsoever at the moment, seems a bit strange to release it so early. If tthey wanted to release it early, why didn't they just wait and see whether a "fake" version would enter or whatever?

Well it was Top 40 before iTunes made a major f*ck-up, and now it's down at #60. -_-

 This is a far better cover in fairness

Itunes has decided it wants to go back in time again.

Olly is back at 23

Any more non-iTunes talk and posts will be immediately deleted with no reason given, so you will have wasted your time writing them.

Err, back on topic

The itunes feed has reverted- it has XF at 3 and Olly at 12- I think Olly is 4th really so that is good :)
