Slayer? As in the heavy metal band?

Slayer have a Christmas song? Wouldn't have put them down as being a 'Christmas song' band.

Though I suppose the music scene has been lacking a heavy metal Xmas tune for a while now, so it could happen :kink:

Could summer of 69 get a new offical peak this week i wonder?

It would be so weird if it did. I've been hearing it so much since I was born pretty much, and I would've presumed it was a #1 if I hadn't done my research.

I kind of don't want it to go top 40 though. It's probably the most popular song of all-time that didn't chart top 40, unless I'm missing something really obvious. Such a good song though! :D

Everybody Hurts, on the other hand... :( Shiny Happy People is my favourite R.E.M song. I heard it on an episode of Friends years ago, and I love it now. But Everybody Hurts is just a bit boring. :(

[30] 28. Nights In White Satin - The Moody Blues  Matt - brilliant.

I also love summer of 69 and would also love it to finally make the top 40. bryan adams in the last few years though doesnt seem to be able to have a hit single or album and his albums are sellinmg less and less on each release, maybe this will finally see him make the top 75 singles chart at the least.

Michael Jackson feat Akon – Hold My Hand

Flo-Rida - Turn Around (5,4,3,2,1)

The highlighted ones are the songs I think will chart in the top 40 next week.

both pushed back to next week

Brandon's gonna flop :( Oh well, c'est la vie! We have a new Killers X-mas single to look forward to :cheer:

wish radio would play a killers xmas track some year!!!!

Was SHP on Friends? I don't remember hearing it, just "What's The Frequency, Kenneth?"...

Taio Cruz being on it doesn't guarantee a success. He only has the occasional big hit himself and lots of flops, and that Tinchy Stryder single featuring him released a couple of weeks ago was a complete flop.

I think the song does seem to be having a wider appeal than their usual, even though I thought 'Party Girl' was so much better.

radio 1 does give them alot more support than they used to in the 2004-07 era, they are guaranted alist play now, in fact the song must be the most played on the station in the past week or so!!

Yeah, I can't remember exactly what episode it was in, but it was playing in the background during a party in Monica's appartment. It was just the instrumental playing, I think. It was one of the episodes from the 90s, if I remember correctly. I heard it there, and I immediately went to find out what the song was.

EDIT: I've found it. It was played during the New Years Eve party in Monica's appartment in the episode where Phoebe and David (the scientist guy) meet for the first time, back in 1994.
