Posted November 22, 201015 yr Take That lead boy band charge 11:03 | Tuesday November 23, 2010 By Paul Williams Source: MW Singles Take That, JLS and Westlife all performed a week ago on the X Factor Sunday results show, while this past weekend’s results programme is now having a big influence on the singles market. The X Factor Finalists 2010’s version of David Bowie’s Heroes, which they performed on the show last Sunday, is on course to give Syco another number one after opening with around 72,000 sales. This is more than the sales combined of Polydor act Ellie Goulding’s Your Song and Epic act JLS’s Love Your More, which sit in second and third places respectively in the week so far. The ITV show’s 2009 runner-up Olly Murs also appeared on the show last weekend to perform his second Epic/Syco single Thinking Of Me, which is showing up in midweek sales flashes as a new entry at four. And XL act Adele’s Make You Feel My Love, which has been a contestants’ favourite on the show this season, is looking like returning to the Top 10 this coming Sunday after boosting its sales on the week by 37.6%. It is currently in seventh place on the midweeks, up from its final chart position of 12 last Sunday. The long-awaited debut of The Beatles on iTunes last Tuesday prompted a number of Fab Four tracks to show up in last Sunday’s chart and some of these are now progressing. Hey Jude, which led the way last Sunday by returning to the chart at number 40, is up to 34 in the midweeks but has now been overtaken by Let It Be (46-29), while Come Together improves 83-57 and Yesterday 86-72. All four songs were performed by X Factor contestants in a Beatles special last Sunday. Albums Take That have taken an early sales lead over JLS in this week’s albums market with Westlife completing an all boy band top three. The Polydor signings’ Progress, which debuted at number one last Sunday with the biggest first-week sales for more than 13 years, has suffered a 72.1% dip in sales this week but that is still good enough to be around 8,000 units ahead of the new JLS album, according to the OCC. The 2008 X Factor runners-up’s new Epic album Outta This World is a good 20,000 sales in front of Syco’s new Westlife album Gravity to take second place, while fellow Syco act Susan Boyle is fourth with The Gift and Reprise/Warner Brothers’ My Chemical Romance are currently ranked fifth with their brand new album Danger Days – The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys. Besides having JLS in silver position presently, Epic has another new entry in seventh place presently with its first Russell Watson album La Voce. Lower down there should also be new arrivals in this coming Sunday’s chart from Rock-A-Fella/Mercury’s Kanye West, Reprise/Warner’s Josh Groban, Cash Money/Island’s Nicki Minaj and DMGTV’s Daniel O’Donnell. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 75 Singles 1 X Factor Finalists 72.4k 2 Ellie Goulding 32.5k 3 JLS 24.9k 4 Olly Murs 21.2k 5 Rihanna 19.8k Top 10 7 Adele Top 15 Mike Posner 14 Cee-Lo Green Rihanna ft. [02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute. [03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away. [04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard. [05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude. [06] Do not use Text Talk. [08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see. [09] Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures. [10] Regarding chart postions when posted when you see a sum/substraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or substraction. Go Figure.

November 23, 201015 yr Wooohoo for Ellie & Take That, although the X Factor version of Heroes does nothing for me :(
November 23, 201015 yr Amazing for X Factor, Ellie set for new peak at #2, hope Olly holds on to #4 or can get #3 in the end, great performance on X Factor. Take That still good sales! Will JLS miss out on #1 album, and what do we think they will sell by end of week? Anyone remember their first day sales for their debut?
November 23, 201015 yr i thought jls would well be #1 looks like take that are going to be a hard one to get off the top spot
Not a chance for JLS I think. They had pre-orders and first day is always kind of front-loaded for new releases, while Take That are on their second week so their sales will stay strong throughout the week. Quite funny how JLS beat Robbie by about 1k last year, and this year Robbie & co are going to chart ahead of JLS  I think Olly will fall to #5, possibly even lower.
