It's not a bug. It's always like that on Sundays because the new releases shoot up the chart and pop bars are always a bit behind.

I love the girl and everything, but this has been such a bugger up and to be fair it's a terrible song.

I'm not too surprised Nelly Furtado's flopping really, I think the best time to have released a Best Of would have been in 2008 after the 'Loose' era.

I despise this song, id rather see xfactor get a 3rd week.

Are we sure X Factor will even get a 2nd week? I mean, you would think Ellie and Nicole are both in with a shot.

 

This reminds me a LOT of when The Club Is Alive got to #1, but it looked like Aiprlanes and California Gurls could've beaten it, but then they lost by a margin of 10,000. :lol: So if that's anything to go by, XFF will probably get it again.

 

It's weird, because I know like absolutely nothing about Willow Smith, or Whip My Hair (except that she's really young and a daughter of someone famous, which means everybody on the Internet will automatically hate her...). It's like Tinie Tempah all over again. It's so weird when a song you've never heard is #1 on iTunes! :o It makes me feel so out of touch. :D

 

Also, am I the only one who's FUMING at the fact that, yet again, Turn My Swag On stalls at #11. I mean, seriously, this is an absolute disaster for the song. So upset. :( Of all songs that could benefit from the top 10 effect, it's Turn My Swag On, as it's not getting any other promotion. :( Oh well. I'll just curl up in a ball in the corner of my bedroom and cry for a few hours. :cry:

I'd like to see Willow at number one any other week but its the BEPs turn, they will get a massive boost on TXF and shoot to number one. Oh and this week I want to see X Factor Finalists at #1, just to stop Nicole Scherzinger's overhyped single.

Been checking out that girl on YouTube - she has a good voice but she's SO karaoke. Nothing distinctive about her at all. She's lucky to be doing as well as she is doing.

Yeah. I think people are buying it because they're fans of the song, rather than fans of the artist.

 

One thing I have noticed, is that you tend to get fake versions of songs high on the iTunes chart for songs by a new relatively unknown artist, or artists that don't have a huge fanbase, like with a lot of dance artists. But when it's artists with a really strong, devoted set of fans, such as JLS, you don't often see fake versions of their songs get very high. Like some people are fans of a song, and might not be overly bothered if they can get an almost identical version, even if it's by a different artist, and then you get other people who are fans of the artist, and will buy most things by that artist, but if another artist makes a very similar song, they might not buy it.

Does anyone know why Chasing Cars was already in the iTunes top 100 again for about 2 weeks before XF anyway? Is it being used in an ad/film or something?

So happy OG is all the way up to #3 when it was #10 yesterday.

It won't though it was top 30 in the midweeks and it's only out on physically on 13 Dec, there's not even a single cover for it yet and N-Dubz are not promoting it at all. It's the one of the worst songs on the album, you should really listen to Cold Shoulder, Love Live Life or Morning Star. They are so so much better and more appealing to N-Dubz haters. .
