When is Bruno Mars 'Grenade' released? (Anyone who appreciates good mucic check it out if you havent heard it yet)

Yep, i heard it last night, and is simply amazing! Way better than JTWYA! I just love the moment that he says grenade and the chorus kick in! It's incredible :heart: Bruno must had been in deep love with someone!

If i'm right, it's out 10/1/11.

Thanks Edward, i think it may be brought forward, but maybe not as X Factor will still be #1 for a while, and Grenade will definitely be aiming for #1.

totally disagree - its december let the charts have a nice xmassy ballad at no1 instead of another forgetable rnb style pop song - here today gone tomorrow single.

 

btw it will be a disgrace if that terrible beps song rises to no1 due to them being on xfactor on sunday!!

Yeah, I love it! I don't think it's crap at all. It sounds so good to me, especially if you listen to it when walking. :D

Also, another shocking this I've found out (and unlike the deadmau5 thing, which everybody is talking about, nobody seems to have mentioned this, anywhere, so I'm hoping someone else sees the similarities too) is:

Please can someone confirm they're hearing that these sound, like EXACTLY the same, and I'm not going crazy!? :o I hope Kylie doesn't realize this and try and sue Cheryl and the BEPs. :( I don't think she would, but she's a pop artist, not a hip hop or electronica artist, so she might not understand the art of sampling. :( Infact, the whole of Cheryl's and Kylie's song sound pretty much the same.

 

This happens with like all the BEP songs though. I listen to them so much, I find loads of other songs which sound very similar to them. All 5 of their singles from the E.N.D used samples too, although not many people are aware of that.

 

All this said, I hope they get #1. Such a tune!!! :D

Actually, i found some similarities to Cheryl's and Kylie's parts (Cheryl's part is a little bit slower?) but i don't know what's wrong behind keywords, sampling etc. It could be a coincidence or will.i.am (who produced 3 words and the time) copied kylie :naughty: I don't have a clue!

 

I think BEP will be n.1 next week but i hope not. Sorry :rolleyes: On the other hand, i prefer BEP to Alexandra! But i want Ellie to be n.1 :heart:

Good point about will.i.am making both 3 Words and The Time. Didn't think of that, no wonder they sound the same. :lol:

 

Also, I might be wrong, but I think Afrojack helped make the beat for The Time (yes, Afrojack as in the guy that's #26 on iTunes atm), so it could've been him. I don't know who else worked on the track, but seeing how good it is, it can't've been just will.i.am by himself.

 

It would be funny if they credited everyone in the end. It'd be like "The Time (the Dirty Bit) - The Black Eyed Peas ft. Deadmau5, Kylie Minogue, 20 other people...". :lol:

 

EDIT: I actually think Afrojack might've only remixed the track, according to this: http://www.facebook.com/djafrojack He says he's remixed Pass Out though, so I'll certainly need to check that out. :D

 

But I think someone called DJ Ammo helped make the time. He also made Kelis's 4th of July. So it might not neccessarily be will.i.am doing it all this time. :lol:

I think it's great what she's done. So many people want to buy the song, yet they can't. It serves Keri Hilson right for not selling it in the UK. I could understand not releasing it initially, since I don't think Soulja Boy released it as a single in the UK, but when Greg Street's version was #11 on iTunes, I think it was quite clear what needed to be done. I don't think she's in the wrong really. Those artists who demand lots of money and take people to court if they think one of their songs have been sampled are the corrupt ones imo (*coughtherollingstonescough*).

 

Turn My Swag On is so popular, that it gets performed once on TV, then 2 and a half monhs later (?) a cover version of it, with next to no promotion by an unknown artist gets to #11 on iTunes. I'm thrilled it's so popular. Just goes to show how good a song it is. Soulja Boy and Keri Hilson are genii. And Cher helped too. :D
