At number 4 in the albums EOY chart is the stunning debut album by UK act Marina & The Diamonds. 'The Family Jewels' is a collection of feel-good pop tracks, with instantly catchy and infectious choruses. This album just never fails to get old and I love it now, just as much as I did back then. Fantastic album. Shame she's not getting quite the success she deserves though.

At number 4, is without doubt the best new artist of this year for me. He has been my idol for pretty much a year now! This track is, so far a personal favourite and I have loved it ever since I downloaded the demo, a couple of weeks before the album had leaked. I love everything about this. It's such a shame this didn't go on to be the huge hit it truly deserved to be. This was definitely the highlight of his show from when I went to see him back in August!

Into the top 3 albums now and he have the fantastic mini-album EP, thing, from The Saturdays! This album confirmed to me that The Saturdays really are one of my favourite girl groups. They have solid, pop gems in their albums and (barring 'Change' by Sugababes) I think they have created 3 of the best albums ever, by any girl group. Obviously imo, but I think they're actually underrated in terms of success. They deserve to do that tiny bit better.

I know this isn't released here in the UK yet, but I'm charting it here now as I think I've had the song long enough to appreciate whether it's a 2010 or 2011 song. Coming in second place, is Rihanna's 5th studio album 'Loud'. After the release of 'Only Girl (In The World)', I thought my love for Rihanna was wearing thin a little, after finding it a little underwhelming. However, as the album leaked, I found out, it was just a tiny glitch as this album continues Rihanna's "get's better with each album" theory. This album is almost perfection! A couple of tracks (literally only a couple) wear thin after one or two listens, but it doesn't ruin the album as the other tracks are strong enough to carry it to amazing standards. This album is still not wearing thin on me.

Runner up in the singles EOY countdown, is the sensational 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart'. No matter how many times I listen to this, it just never gets old for me. It's such a beautifully written, constructed and just generally a brilliant and simple pop song. I was a bit dubious about this doing things for her in the UK as it didn't do too well in the US (and they LOVE her usually) although it seems she's done a complete U-Turn in success with this era. She's doing amazingly well in the UK, but only "OK" in the US.

My favourite album of the year, may (or may not :heehee:) be a surprise to some! Yes, it's none other than *sings* JASON DERHULOOOO. Honestly, I don't think I've heard an album as full of potential hit singles as this one! It's literal perfection from start to finish! I honestly adore every single track and none of them have got on my nerves yet either! He was an immense performer when I saw him at T4 on the Beach in July and then again on his own tour in August. He's an idol! :wub:

My song of the year is by The Saturdays and it's the mega amazing 'Higher'! This is definitely what The Sats are all about, imo. I'm glad that the Flo edit, hasn't ruined my love for the song. I think I definitely prefer the Flo version now actually, however I still miss Una's middle 8! This song to me is a pop classic and is everything a pop song should be. Such a feel-good song overall.

006. Kylie Minogue 'All The Lovers' - This is ok, but I've never really liked Kylie anyway.

007. Roll Deep feat. Jodie Connor 'Good Times' - This is excellent, I never thought it was more than OK at the time, but I really like it now. A contender for my top 100.

008. Bruno Mars 'Just The Way You Are' - This just missed out on my top 200 as I'm a bit bored of it. It's very good though and it's definitely one of the best number one singles of the year.

009. Glee Cast 'Don't Stop Believin'' - A great cover version

010. Biffy Clyro 'Many of Horror' - The best song in the top 10, one of my favourites of theirs.
