Una Healy has dismissed claims that she is quitting The Saturdays.

The Irish singer assured fans on Twitter that she is not planning to leave the 'Higher' group, but did not specifcy where her exit had been reported.

"Woke up to dozens of tweets that i'm leaving the band!?? (sic)" she wrote today. "This is news to me! For whoever started the rumour sorry but there isnt a hope of that happening!"

She added: "Now start spreading some love rather than rumours."

Her bandmate Rochelle Wiseman commented: "oh please!!!!! That's actually up there with the silliest rumour! Silly people, love you babe."

Despite looking around online cannot find where this rumor started... Jumping the gun Una? Being honnest I wouldn't be supprised if Una was to leave, as she often looks very unhappy during live performances. And has done so more recently than usual. There is also a history with girl bands with there being a denial of there being any problems, before someone quitting is annouced.....

Well its a bit of publicity for them so they might gain a few extra sales from it and seeing that she isnt leaving there is no harm done!!

To be fair, people have said Una will be the first to leave since their debut. People assume that because she's the oldest of the group (by some margin) and is a bit more "musically talented" (i.e she writes music and plays instruments) that she doesn't like being in a silly pop group with four young girls. I don't know where this "unhappy during performance" thing is coming from because Una always seems to be having the most fun! She gets so excited when doing her part in Higher and the recent clip of her singing Up at the Jingle Bell Ball she looked like she was having a ball.

If anything I think Frankie is getting bored of being in the band. Sometimes she looks so miserable during performances but that's just me!

I felt during the AOL session Una just looked like she didnt want to be there, and didnt either bother with most of her adlibs during Higher... But that is just my opinion. I really hope none of them leave, it wouldn't feel the same without one of them being there.

We haven't been watching the same clips then...

I think for the most of them she looked really miserable singing 'Higher', lol. She probably just dreaded her solo though. She rarely did it any justice.
