Okay, just for fun, what do you think Matt Cardle's opening sales and total sales for the week.

 

I can't see more than 300k in opening sales if so, I be totally amazed.

It'll be a million seller which isn't an option. Edit, didn't see the last option...doh!!! :P

200k opening, 500k total

As long as it doesn't beat LTWYL to be the biggest seller of 2010 :(

By the way he has retitled the song as When We Collide.

Will open with 220k and have a total sales of around 495k I reckon.

Being honest, I don't think Matt will have the years biggest selling single with 'When We Collide'. I suspect Eminem and Bruno Mars will easily hold the top two biggest selling singles of 2010.

 

My gut feeling is it won't be a massive selling X Factor winners single. Certainly don't see it selling anywhere near 1 million copies. Also fail to see what SyCo plan on doing with Matt now he's won - only time will tell.

 

Anyways, first week sales 400k. Second week sales (which pretty much covers the lead up to Xmas day) 200k, then the iTunes gift card affect means Matt Cardle could sell another 100k in its third week. That's an estimated total of 700k - probably selling 800k in total with the other 100k coming from post-2011.

This has been the biggest series of the X-Factor EVER. He's also one of the most successful contestants also (he topped the phone lines every week bar one). I reckon it'll be huge!

Yeah - he topped the vote 9 weeks straight and came 2nd on the first live week - he is probably the most popular contestant ever.

Its only first week sales, not overall.

 

Its funny how some members voted for 200k max for the week, when the opening sales start at 100k :mellow:, so selling 14k a day :mellow:

His album has been pencilled in for October 2011
