February 11, 201114 yr What I don't understand is why the juries loved Jedward so much? They'll get a big media backlash as they controlled two thirds of the vote!
February 11, 201114 yr :o - What are the odds of the UK giving Ireland 12 Points though? Almost certain? :P (Well thats if Ireland get through to the final...) :kink:
February 11, 201114 yr what the hell were the juries thinking, im more disgusted at them than the public, most of jedwards public votes were kids who have no sense, the jury dont have that excuse, the winning song hasnt a catchy chorus, its not even a proper song and the flipping gob $h!ts singing it cant sing, every ingrediant needed for a eurovision song is missing. With dustin at least it was pure entertainment and a catchy chorus, but this, god im bloddy fumming and gutted.
February 11, 201114 yr Blue suddenly seem like an incredible entry! THIS, just THIS. I am currently in love with Ireland right now. Just look over too the west for a quick reminder things could be a whole lot worse. Although, when your government are saying Ireland is the country to follow and that they got it right dealing with the recession this may be a short lived feeling.
February 11, 201114 yr Just to make it fully clear.... I'm a billion times more disgusted that Nikki didn't win that I am at Jedward winning, if that makes sense. God though.....it's painful to know I'm living in the most backwards country in europe. No wonder we don't win, we don't know a good thing when it comes our way. Ireland fully deserves to flop and be heckled in this contest. Edited February 11, 201114 yr by Sabrewulf
February 11, 201114 yr Like I said yesterday, at least we'll stand a good chance at winning the OGAE Second Chance... :P
February 11, 201114 yr i can see jedward getting booed just like dustin did, the only possible good thing about jedward doing eurovision is it could destroy whats left of their career and i hope it does., that bloody sligo jury giving nikki 8 is what destroyed it, Edited February 11, 201114 yr by Aphrodite
February 11, 201114 yr I don't hate Lipstick......but Nikki. Anyway I'm now Swedish.......or at least I am until I discover my favourite song of this years eurovision. Edited February 11, 201114 yr by Sabrewulf
February 11, 201114 yr i can see jedward getting booed just like dustin Dustin  Absolutely LOVED that song. One of my favourite's from that year... :D
February 12, 201114 yr Knew I shouldn't have got my hopes up, knew I shouldn't have believed Ireland could make the right decision. I'm so utterly disappointed in Ireland. :( We're a hopeless cause, global warming hurry up so the sea can engulf our terrible nation. It's not just this, but in our all ireland talent show....the acts I want to qualify very rarely do...and if they do it's usually just a second chance. I feel like a foreigner....like an alien who doesn't understand the ways of people he's surrounded with. Edited February 12, 201114 yr by Sabrewulf

I'm so utterly disappointed in Ireland. :( We're a hopeless cause, global warming hurry up so the sea can engulf our terrible nation. It's not just this, but in our all ireland talent show....the acts I want to succeed never win. I feel like a foreigner....like an alien who doesn't understand the people he's surrounded with. Calm down
February 12, 201114 yr I dont think nikki would have won eurovision but she would have done well and would have made the final, nikki would have done what rte would like, come out of the semis and do reasonably well, there is no denying rte dont want ireland to win as they cant afford to host the contest, but nikki would have done us proud on the night. RTE though can relax for another year as im 100% confident eurovision wont be coming to ireland next yr the only question now is how bad jedward will do in the semi final, all going well they come last with nil points.
February 12, 201114 yr Calm down  I'm not angry at you, so seriously just don't... Let me be angry, I need to be angry. I'll be fine after a while. Please
February 12, 201114 yr Eugh. Just eugh. The awful thing about this is is that the song is actually ok, it's just the singers can't... wait for it... SING. :( I'll lose the rag if people bring up this "bloc voting" crap if Jedward fail spectacularly.
February 12, 201114 yr If Ireland fails it's mostly their own fault, it's pathetic to see people blaming bloc voting so much. Like Ireland as a country can't understand the concept of messing up....of course it must have been TACTICZ. Edited February 12, 201114 yr by Sabrewulf
February 12, 201114 yr When Ireland fails and it will Bloc voting cant be the reason, anyone who actually has ears that work can be rightly credited for ireland doing so bad, im 100% confident ireland wont make it out of the semi finals. On a bright note for me i can celebrate when irelands name isnt called out in the semi final top 10 winners, last year i was sweating for niiamh and got a happy result, the year before i loved sinead mulvey and was gutted she didnt come out of the semil;s but this year i can enjoy the semi as i wont be rooting for my own country, Edited February 12, 201114 yr by Aphrodite
February 12, 201114 yr I can't say for sure if I think Lipstick will fail....but it certainly won't do as well as Nikki would have done that's for sure.
February 12, 201114 yr Jedward and the eurovision exposure plus casual buyers probably means this will be the first time in years the irish entry will make the offical uk charts. Edited February 12, 201114 yr by Aphrodite
