It was bad enough that "Spirit" only had two singles from the original edition, when at least "I will be" and "Whatever it takes" should have been given a go.

 

But now what a waste that Echo only milks 2 singles: "Happy" (which was a not-that-brilliant choice for 1st release to begin with) and "I got you". Not even an individual release of "I see you", let alone the acclaimed "Outta my head" or "Stop crying your heart out"?

 

 

there were so many good songs on echo it's such a shame she doesn't seem to be releasing a 3rd single. outta my head would have been amazing and would have shown a lot of people a different side to her and maybe gained a lot more fans from it. and stop crying your heart out i know was performed on x factor so people will say it obviously wasn't sucessful but it wasn't even a proper single and i think it would have done really good if it was. plus i think naked would have done pretty good as a single too..

 

plus i'm still annoyed that she didn't want to release i see you cos that would have been huge! look how big my heart will go on was with the titanic and avatar was even bigger. plus it is a really good song

I could accept it better if La Burke didn't span six singles out of Overcome (only one being a proper non-orginal album track)

Well that was her debut album, pretty much the same amount Leona had. And besides, Leona had the tour to prepare for, rehearse for, and she might have only wanted to release two singles.

That would have been absolute perfection :wub: I think they were too scared to release Outta My Head as it is different to everything she has done before, but that whole attitude of "safe is better" is the reason Echo underperformed worldwide! She NEEDED to make people sit up and notice and do something different....grab their attention. I really hope they have learnt from the mistakes of Echo for the next album :)

i would have LOVED stop crying my heart out to be released as a single, it is obviously a fan favourite as it reached the top 30 without any release. and as for spirit, i wanted i will be to released as the last single for the album, i love the song and i think it would be a perfect way to end the spirit era

'Outta My Head' was one of the best pop songs of modern times, it still REALLY annoys me that they gave her a song of that calibre that just went to waste. :(

 

'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' was just a really bad cover version, unlike what she did with 'Run'.

I think people only go mad for it cos they've never heard anything like that from her before. If it was done by someone else who does upbeat music all the time I bet people wouldn't go half as crazy for it.

Oh I agree, completely! It never was one of my favourites from 'Echo', and even as a song, there aren't that many great qualities to it. Sure, I'd like her to do more upbeat songs, but I'd prefer something a bit more classy, such as 'Misses Glass' from 'Spirit'.
