Posted December 24, 201014 yr On Behalf of myself, Tom and Aaron, I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It's been quite a year, we've had a break, Tyron's shock resignation, Ashton continuing to flop with 4 DNQ's then pulling it back to win, our first foreign winner, our first tied victory and our first live winner! A change of format, more new rules and assorted chaos. So, on we head into the new year. We will be looking for a new mod around Mid January so get prepping those applications, they'd best be gleaming! We are also hoping to regain the fun element of BJSC, god help us. :drama: So here's to another year of new music and fun!
December 24, 201014 yr Happy Christmas Phil, and to everyone :cheer: It's been a good year, but tbh I think it's make or break for the contest in 2011. Thanks to everyone for your input, votes and all that good stuff
December 25, 201014 yr First live winner? Wasn't Black Butta live? ANYWAY, MERRY CHRISTMAS - BEEN A GREAT YEAR :)

December 26, 201014 yr First live winner? We had that with Black Butta Phil :P And I find it funny you went for all the Ashton-related records but skipped over the more notable first male winner :kink:
December 29, 201014 yr First live winner? We had that with Black Butta Phil :P And I find it funny you went for all the Ashton-related records but skipped over the more notable first male winner :kink: What a claim to bjsc fame to have. Thank you Delphic. ^_^
December 29, 201014 yr What a claim to bjsc fame to have. Thank you Delphic. ^_^ I found it incredibly odd that we had (effectively) all female for twenty three contests and then three male winners in the space of four!
December 29, 201014 yr I found it incredibly odd that we had (effectively) all female for twenty three contests and then three male winners in the space of four! Insinuating a Darin win won't go down well with Phil, countback tie or not :o I've just realised I left out Love Killer from my EOY top 100 :drama: I forgot Telephone as well but I guess it will be in EVERYBODY else's top 100 so she can do without featuring in mine. Neither would have been higher than #75-ish anyway so I won't be rushing back to change it...

Wasn't what I was doing :P Delphic, Roll Deep (although the merits of counting that as a male win are a tad shaky given I doubt it would've done anywhere near as well had Roll Deep taken the chorus too :heehee:) and Eric Saade?

Aah right, I ignored Roll Deep on the basis that we'd had mixed groups win before (although admittedly Royksopp and the guy from Beautiful Small Machines didn't provide anything more than backing vocals, if that, in their songs). So techincally four male wins out of five then if we call Molly/Darin a tie! Sorry I buggered up that nice run with some Scandi fempop :P
December 30, 201014 yr Both are great in my opinion :w00t: But I prefer Love Killer to anything Eric brought out this year...
December 30, 201014 yr Both are great in my opinion :w00t: But I prefer Love Killer to anything Eric brought out this year... I agree with them both being great, but Manboy >>> Lovekiller.
December 30, 201014 yr Author Eric Saade is far far far better than Darin. Although it's no contest when one makes your ears bleed and gives you the desire to chunder everywhere and the other produces pleasant Scandipop genius like Manboy and It's Gonna Rain
December 31, 201014 yr Leave Darin alone!!!! he is amazing...of course Breathing Your Love will remain his best song ...shame he couldn't have Gaga success, and I bet if it was sung by her that song would have been #1 everywhere :arrr:
December 31, 201014 yr I never realised how incredible Manboy is until a couple of weeks ago when i started compiling the year-end charts.
