Adele is unlikely to be the biggest non-Britney release, Wretch 32 is out next week as well.

 

I don't see Wretch 32 beating Adele personally, 'Rolling In The Deep' has a lot of airplay & hype, and given the XF promotion, I think Adele will be really huge this era.

'21' will definitely be massive though, as will 'RITD' though I can see it peaking at #4 behind Bruno, Wretch and Britney

I just can't see anything interesting about Bad Romance, unfortunately. It's just a below average pop song in my opinion. I can't think of anything else to say about it really. :( There's a few synths in it which sound a bit like that noise when cars drive past you really fast, which I really like, but that's about it... :unsure:

 

But if you think Bad Romance is perfect, fine by you. I've probably spoken to hundreds of people that share your opinion, but maybe you should listen to more 80's pop music. There's plenty of "better than perfect" songs out there, in my opinion. :)

 

BR is an amazing song - the lyrics and melody anyway. The production is nothing special though. IMO it sounds like a rock song born into an electro pop body.

 

HIAM lyrics and melody have nothing on BR, but the production $h!ts all over it, and like I've already said, it's the production that makes this song.

 

Really we should be giving Max Martin and Dr Luke the credit for the song. It says a lot for Britney's status that they saved this song for her. She really is the queen of pop.

Bad Romance is biggest crap ever recorded imo.

They definitely need to put a commercial of HIAM when the Glee premiered!

There's many, many worse songs, and many, many better songs around. But I think that's part of the problem. It's just so...there, and it's too similar to her previous songs and all the other songs in the chart. :(

Well, I like JLS, Professor Green and 50 Cent too. I agree that Bad Romance isn't very good, but I can't see why anybody would hate it (although that's the problem in a way. It's probably one of the most innofensive and un-controversial big smashes in recent times, Lady Gaga uses a combination of innuendo and her music videos to make her radio-tailored songs seem edgy and creative).

 

Like there's not much that I like about it, but there's not much I can really see anybody hating about it either. It's the definition of average and mainstream. It's just...a pop song. I hate how overrated it is, but judging the song itself, and ignoring any hype, etc. around it, I can't really find anything that people could hate, because it isn't anything. It's like the default song. Like if you got everybody's musical tastes in America, averaged them all out and combined them all into one song, you'd get Bad Romance (or Just Dance, Poker Face, In My Head, etc.).

BR is by far gaga's best song and the best pop song recorded in last 2 years. it's just that good.

 

 

britney's fan complained that end of february is too late and how it's released everywhere but in UK and now that's released next week you complain again.

I really love the track now, though I'm not expecting a #1 in the UK next week. I'd expect it'll debut top 3 on hype, hover mid top 10 for a few weeks then jump back up during February once the video is out. I wouldn't say there's a mass amount out during February either.

Well, fair enough. I don't think it's that bad, but I guess in this case, it's probably okay that there's like one person who underrates the song for every hundred that overrate it! :lol:

 

I actually really like Disturbia. :wub: There's a few Rihanna songs I hate though, mainly Russian Roulette :puke:, Don't Stop the Music (this song is basically nothing now that we have Only Girl and S&M) and Te Amo :drama:.

Yeah, I do find I've loved most things Rihanna has released over the past, like, 5 years. Only a few I've hated (the one's I mentioned in my previous post). She's not done anything ground-breaking, musically, in my opinion, but I love how she seems up for anything. Like she's got 4 songs in the chart now. Why do my parents make me listen to this? :cry:

Yeah. In the US, you get a lot more genre-specific radio stations, compared to the UK. For example, a lot of the urban stations have recently started playlisting Raining Men from Rihanna's album, which is a more hip hop orientated song and features Nicki Minaj, which is fair enough, because I don't think the listeners would appreciate it if they played a europop song like Only Girl on there. :lol: And likewize, the pop stations get a non-urban Rihanna song to play from time to time.
