Posted January 10, 201114 yr I had no idea where to put this topic, seeing as he's essentially an acoustic singer/songwriter, but he seems to be in with the UK urban crowd, and his new EP, 'No.5 Collaborations Project' is #2 on iTunes right now, without any major label support or notable hype! Pretty amazing success, surely only a matter of time before he gets signed/blows up. Really surprised the Sound Of list completely ignored him, but I guess they mainly go for recent major label signings? I heard of him about 6 months ago through Facebook, because he's a collaborator/friend of Leddra Chapman, a favourite female artist of mine. His genre seems to blend singer/songwriter with rap/urban/grime, and it's quite strange, but unique and basically great - works really well. His new EP features Wiley, Devlin and Wretch 32 amongst others. There's no single as such but here's one of the tracks from it, Family, which stands out as being pretty representative of his hybrid style. BSuxPIh93p4
January 10, 201114 yr I had a look at his EP after I saw it at #2 on the iTunes album chart, I really hope that he becomes big in 2011, he really deserves it with his uniqueness!
January 10, 201114 yr The track with Devlin ('Lately') which is charting on iTunes at the moment is a very interesting listen. VEzfdYimjYM
January 11, 201114 yr Author Lyrically, the EP is much darker than I expected it to be in places. Who knew Ed had seen such things in his life!
