Really been a terrible year for them in terms of the first 5 out all being girls, I was convinced everything within the producers power would be done to keep the remaining 3 in to even things out. Was a little suprised to see Pia land in the bottom 3, but I thought Stefano was a goner myself.

 

This is why it was stupid using the save in week 3 of all places. And who in god's name is voting for Paul.

We have to remember though, the only reason it's all girls out so far is because the judges saved Casey.

 

As well as maybe a gender bias, I'll look into a location bias. I think past winners have mostly come from a certain area, maybe something to do with some places being more supportive than others?

I think 6/7 of the winners are from the South! :o And obviously Scotty is too so it looks good for him! :lol:

We can't rule out bottom 3ers tbh, Ruben, Fantasia and Kris Allen were all bottom at one point (Fantasia was 2 or 3 times, as was Diana DeGarmo who came 2nd to her) so Haley still has a chance imo, as Kris and Ruben won even after being bottom near the final - Fantasia's bottom placings were early, including the infamous J-Hud elimation! Woo for Pia if that's true btw! :wub:

I've been revisting some of the studio versions, and I can now firmly say Haley is my fave! :wub:

I was really nervous about Haley this week. Thought she was a gonner.

 

Her place in the bottom 3 this week should have been Jacob.

Not been watching this, but I thought Haley's performance of Rolling In The Deep was really good. Made it original, whilst still kinda keeping it to the basics of Adele's version.

I agree she was mega last night!

Bottom 3 this week was

Haley, Jacob and Stefano

and

Stefano

was eliminated.

I can't believe Haley could be bottom after the best performance of the night, I think her days are numbered - her and Jacob will be the next two to go for sure. Shame, I can't see why Haley has been bottom so many times... I have to pin hope on Lauren to win now, as it's clear Haley has no chance. Next week will be interesting - now that no-hoper Stefano is gone no-one is there to join Haley/Jacob in the bottom, so will it be evil save stealer Casey or one of the big three (Scotty, Lauren and James)?

I agree with Liam about Haley.

 

Haley & James had the best performances of the night by far.

 

These should now be the 2 finalists going off the recent perfomances.

IMO Haley was a slow starter but has really come on in leaps since she did the Janis Joplin track.

 

They eliminated the best - Pia - but finally the worst has now gone. I don't think Stefano should have even been in the Top 12.

Hope OTT Jacob goes next week.

Lauren was fabulous this week, as was James! Haley wasn't anywhere near as good as last week though :( At least

Scotty was finally bottom 3! It was actually my 3 least faves in the bottom :D Now I hpe it finishes:

I'm hoping Haley can be top 3, she's deffo talented to make it - but I expected her to be out within 2/3 weeks of the live shows, so I'm happy she's managed to get this far! I think Lauren has it in the bag - there's not a been a female winner for a few years and although James is on a winning streak with the judges (and probably the voters) I'm not sure another rocky singer will win in a row after Lee DeWyze.

I'm going to sound really stupid saying this BUT I was wondering why the hell there wasn't a bottom 2/3 when Casey went but there was when Jacob went. I reckon it was because Scotty/James was bottom 2/3 and they didn't want either of them to appear negatively. But they want every chance to make Lauren appear to be unpopular <_< Definitely something going on I reckon...

 

Anyway, I'm rooting for Lauren/Haley (Scotty is DULL DULL DULL and James was flat as f*** in places of both this week's performances). Haley and Lauren were STREETS ahead last night, both had 2 10/10 performances, the rest were lucky to top 7/10... I predict now:

4. Haley

 

Btw, next week's theme is Lieber & Stoller songbook (wtf is that? :mellow:) and Lady Gaga (:w00t:) is mentoring!!!!! Plus Jordin Sparks is performing her new single I Am Woman!

To be fair, if Lauren was indeed bottom 2 then her fans will come out in the bucket loads next week.

I suppose Lauren's fans will come out for her next week, so she is safe as houses for the top 3. Sadly I think Haley is deffo a goner next week, having been bottom 3 4 times despite the fact that she's FAR more talented than James and Scotty together. Scotty is sooooo dull, I really hope he's next out. I have really liked James since his audition - but recently the judges have been overhyping him when he's just an Adam Lambert copycat (and he's not half as talented as Adam) so I've gone off him a little bit.
