April 9, 201114 yr Has anyone else seen the web spinoff of this called "Becoming Human". They're eight mini episodes that follow Adam (that vampire 40 year old) I liked it although I didn't love it....I guess having such short episodes is bound to make it feel a bit rushed. The characters were nice though...hope there's a second series to get to know them more. EDIT: Also, I watch the first episode of the US Being Human last night. Not that great although I suppose the characters have some potential...since it's the first episode I'll give it another chance. (I remember the first episode of Vampire Diaries left me feeling very little too) It didn't feel as overly familiar as I thought it would. (There are definitely lines that can be drawn between both though) The werewolves look so lame though, too cartoony. It seems to be going at a faster pace than the british one (with 12 eps in it's first season) so it'll be interesting to see what happens when they run out of british being human stories to copy. Edit2: It's also pretty hard to invest in characters that I know are going to die (that I'd usually like), because they're equivalents of characters in the original that were just killing fodder. April 9, 201114 yr Actually, a recent interview with one of the stars said the show is going beyond the British Being Human and is gonna continue with original plot lines etc.
April 9, 201114 yr Actually, a recent interview with one of the stars said the show is going beyond the British Being Human and is gonna continue with original plot lines etc. I read some summaries of the upcoming episodes and figured that out since I didn't really recognise what was going on. I'm on episode four right now and it's starting to seem more different. Although that storyline in episode 3 with that cop didn't make much sense and was wrapped up far too quickly.
February 5, 201213 yr SHIT, I almost forgot about this, but a great opener! :D Didn't expect George to die though :( I can't imagine how it will be without him and Mitchell, but I'm still intrigued to see this new alternate clan as well
February 5, 201213 yr I stopped watching this when it moved from being filmed up the road from me :( Now George and Mitchell are gone? So, what's the point?
February 6, 201213 yr I stopped watching this when it moved from being filmed up the road from me :( Now George and Mitchell are gone? So, what's the point? It's still very good though. Tonight's episode got off to a slow start but most of it was as good as ever. RIP George and his ears :snif:
February 6, 201213 yr I stopped watching this when it moved from being filmed up the road from me :( Now George and Mitchell are gone? So, what's the point? It's like Primeval. That lost all of its original cast bar Andrew-Lee Potts and Hannah Spearritt, and Ben Miller but he's in more of a supporting role. It was still good without people like Douglas Henshall, I think. The show is called Being Human, not Mitchell, George and Annie. I was just sad to hear that Nina was gone. :(
February 13, 201213 yr Another brilliant episode last night. Good to see some humour back (especially from Annie) and I'm beginning to warm to the new characters.
February 13, 201213 yr Jeez didn't even know this was back on. :o Is there anywhere you can watch the episodes online? Like a player or something? :S

February 13, 201213 yr Jeez didn't even know this was back on. :o Is there anywhere you can watch the episodes online? Like a player or something? :S The two episodes so far should both be on iPlayer. Last night's episode is repeated tonight.
February 13, 201213 yr Did it really say that the year was something like 2037 and the characters don't look any older than they were in the last season. They hardly even tried. Gutted that Nina died, an offscreen death too. :( I've only watched the first minutes so far......it's weird. Edited February 13, 201213 yr by Sabrewulf

February 13, 201213 yr the first half really dragged, but it did get a lot better towards the end (special mention to Annie's 'ceremony' though  ) Edited February 13, 201213 yr by C.W

February 13, 201213 yr Just around the end of the first episode. Does nobody else find it odd that George left for the afterlife when he became a ghost? I would have thought your baby daughter being in terrible danger from Vampires would be enough to count towards unfinished business.
February 27, 201213 yr Yet another great episode last night including an excellent performance by James Lance as the thoroughly creepy Kirby. Most of the episode seemed to be played largely for laughs but it got very dark for the last 15 minutes or so with some unexpected twists to add to the mix. All that and some more topless Hal!
March 4, 201213 yr Yet another fantastic episode. We even had Annette Crosbie (Mrs Meldrew)'s daughter to add to the fact that we've already got Kelly from Misfits' brother.
