I dunno, I just think whatever Chris Brown did, he'd still be hated. I've seen in other cases in the media. Going back to Cheryl, she gets caught in a racist attack, then she married a black man and is best friends with will.i.am. She does this, but people still insist she's racist. Seriously, if you're married to a black person, and another black person says you're his best friend, I honestly cannot fathom what else you can possibly do if you don't want to be called a racist! People were doubting her love and her friendships, claiming they were all just an act for her to try and prove she isn't racist. I think it would've been a similar thing with Chris Brown. Whatever he did to try and prove he was sorry, I think a lot of people would just dismiss it as faked for the media. I'd find being in Chris's situation just dreadful, because you could be genuinely sorry, yet you know there's absolutely nothing you can do to get people to believe you.

I agree with the other bit. People in Rihanna's situation usually keep it to themselves, and often still stay in a relationship with the attacker. :( It's so sad in those cases, because the offender usually gets away with it, whilst the woman just suffers in secret, which I think is also just such a dreadful situation to be in. You must feel completely an utterly trapped if you're living with someone who you know could snap and attack you at any moment, and often the victims have nobody who can feasibly help them, or are too scared to tell other people about it. :(

I disagree as a former fan of CB if he had from the get go said sorry or seemed contrite that would have been better than taking a holiday, jetskiing and partying he seemed really arrogant.Fair enough he was barely out of his teens but if he grew up in a violent home that for me makes it worse.Cheryl will just have to take her lumps, it just reminded me of Jonathan Ross's funny joke at the Comedy awards-classic.

Ross - who has interviewed Cole several times on his seminal BBC talk show - questioned whether the Girls Aloud star had an issue with race.

He said: 'What’s going on with Cheryl Cole’s complex relationship with the black community?

'It’s like she’s playing the world’s longest game of slap, marry, deport.'

 at the last bit! Seriously though, I simply don't think Cheryl can be racist. At least not anymore. There're people out there who are actually racist, and they literally cringe when they see a black person. They physically cannot bring themselves to even talk to one. A truly racist person would not be able to bring themselves to live with Ashley Cole. A truly racist person would not be able to mentor Alexandra Burke. A truly racist person would rather the nation think that they're racist than do anything kind to a black person. Btw, I'm not saying you think Cheryl is racist. This is just sort of directed at everybody in general, as I know a lot of people genuinely believe Cheryl is racist, and I just think that's completely illogical (not to mention quite offensive to the people who are actually victims of racism, yet instead of focusing on them, everybody is focusing on a woman on TV who hasn't done anything racist in years and years).

(Jason Derulo has replaced Chris). Even if he didn't beat up Rihanna he wouldn't be making top ten hits anymore, and this Y3X would of only made top 40.

Agreed. He would have been massive right now and I still think he should be given the chance to be. Yeah 3x is doing well in the US though I believe, so hopefully that can translate over here with more airplay.. & Champion will easily go Top 5 imo

Edit: JLS will probably chart at #11 or #12 this week then :( Really don't understand the logic behind leaving the release date for so long

Woah! Pink up to #41 and Adele up to #44! :o Someone Like You is a good bet for her 2nd single then!
Liking the lead Ke$ha has ^_^ The midweeks are going to be interesting tomorrow!

The next single has already been confirmed to be 'Set Fire To The Rain'. 'Someone Like You' will most likely become the 3rd single though.

Glad to see Ke$ha doing very well. :D

So, Kesha is outselling all Grenade versions combined, right?

I think she will be number 1 in the midweeks tomorrow.

Also lovin' to see The Vaccines top 25.

Ah. Set Fire to the Rain is doing pretty well too. It's at #91, so that's good! That'll be a top 200 debut officially, although it'll probably drop out before reclimbing, I'd guess.

It's always weird when singles are released ages after the album, but they chart on the album release week, as they have a chart position like a dozen weeks before the rest of their chart run. Although some of them like Telephone and Ridin' Solo managed to hang around in the top 100 until their proper promotion started.

Ke$ha's going to have that aswell, sort of, as We R Who We R got to #95 when that compilation album was released. It's going to be annoying though, as everybody's going to be like "Why did it chart at #95 a month ago?".

Also Your Love Is My Drug has the same entry week as Blah Blah Blah.

And All Night Long and The Silence both have the same entry week, which is actually *before* Broken Heels.

No Love and Won't Back Down both first charted the same week as Love the Way You Lie aswell.

And the whole of The Fame Monster went top 100 on iTunes! :o Infact, I think Monster even got top 40! :o

"Telephone" was top 40, "Monster" got to #68 or something.

I think Telephone got to #15, charted #30 officially, Monster got to #40, charted #60-something officially, and Alejandro got to #42 and charted #70-something officially, if I remember correctly.

Also, Cheryl's album managed this:

[**] 16| Cheryl Cole & will.i.am - 3 Words

[**] 36| Cheryl Cole - Stand Up

[**] 38| Cheryl Cole - Parachute

[**] 39| Cheryl Cole & will.i.am - Heaven

[**] 41| Cheryl Cole & will.i.am - Boy Like You

[**] 43| Cheryl Cole - Rain On Me

[**] 46| Cheryl Cole - Make Me Cry

:o They were all frontloaded though, because I think there was an error on iTunes or something meaning you couldn't buy the album for a few hours, so people were cherry-picking a lot for those hours.

And Dance in the Dark went top 20 on Irish iTunes due to a similar error. Before The Fame Monster was released, Dance in the Dark accidentally became "un-album only-fied", so people started buying it before the album was released.

"Telephone" was top 40, "Monster" got to #68 or something.

Telephone #30

Monster #68

Alejandro #75

So Happy I Could Die #84

Dance In The Dark #89

Speechless got to #88 3 weeks later and obviously Bad Romance had already charted so 7 of the 8 new songs on the re-release made the official top 100 :o Only Teeth missed out

This was iTunes on the day most of Gaga's album tracks peaked. Teeth was the lowest charting at #66! :o And Telephone was #15 at that point. Wait your Turn was an album track from Rihanna which also charted very high, and only narrowly missed the top 40. :( I believe it was a promo song and had a video, which is probably why it got cherry-picked the most. I think Monster got cherry-picked the most because it's the title track. I've noticed a lot of title tracks, or first tracks on the album get cherry-picked more than the others.

Monster didn't get cherry-picked the most, Telephone did.

I reckon Glee - I Wanna Hold Your Hand should reach the top #30 this week!..

I'd rather it was Bridge Over Troubled Water (better version) or Losing My Religion (better song) ^_^
