Fefe's not quite a BJ fave - she has a low-level following amongst what used to be commonly decried as the 'R&B block' but the vast majority people won't have heard of it, or her for that matter.

I guess so, but I have heard a fair bit of hype for Stuttering. Even outside of Buzzjack (YES.)

 

How were you proven right? Yes she flopped in the chart, but it was a buzz single I think she would have been GUARANTEED top 5 in XXX, and had a very good shot at winning.

 

Maybe this is something I should be saying in the mod forum, and I mean no offence to Rob by this, but I kind of feel bad we didn't spot Adele as the obvious winner that it was, I thought that if it wasn't the single it wouldn't pick up THAT much interest, but it was a great performance (if IMHO a mediocre song).

You're missing the point completely. People would've likely heard the track without the contest (something I think we should've picked up on with Adele, actually.) - the fact that she had so much hype behind her would've led to a pretty much guaranteed win or top three, which is what we're trying to avoid.

Oh, well, I totally agree with that. I don't remember disagreeing. I admit I reserved Clare at first, but on reflection it would have been UBERcheap.
