Because it was a young, white female! :lol: Imagine if it was an indian, adult male, do you think the media would even give it any attention?

I think there're a number of factors which meant this case has got a lot of coverage. Obviously the fact that she's white and attractive is a factor, but also, it always had an air of mystery about it from the beginning (the fact there was CCTV footage of her journey home and the pizza mystery), plus the fact it rose to the top of the news agenda by default over the slow Christmas period.

32 year-old Vincent Tabak has been charged this evening with the murder of Joanna Yates.

As any discussion of the case is illegal once someone has been charged I am going to close this thread.
