Just watching her interview on Alan Carr tonight and she has such a brilliant personality. It's like a less OTT (although still slightly OTT  - but in a good way obviously) Stacey Solomon. (But also a brighter version )

Will listen to her album on the strength of 'Set Fire To The Rain' and 'Someone Like You'.

This album is pretty great. I never listened to all of 19 so I can't compare. This is an extremely strong album though and is no doubt going to dominate the album chart for the rest of the year.

She makes the super slow jazzy ballads (that i don't particularly like) sound incredible.

'19' was a disappointment because of the numerous fillers, but '21' doesn't have a single filler! Album of the year so far.

Studio version of 'Someone Like You' sounds almost like the live performance which says EVERYTHING

Fantastic!

Such a consistantly brilliant album! I knew she had a good voice but it wasnt until this era kicked off that I realised how good her voice really was...

I think she is going to be one of the artists of 11 for me!!

Set Fire to the Rain, Someone like You and turning tables are early faves

set fire to the rain is definitely my fav song by her now, playin it to death!

really liking this version of someone like you too. i thought the live version was perfect but i think i prefer this one now.

loved her interview on alan carr

Loving this album so much.

Bar 'Hometown Glory' and 'Cold Shoulder' I didn't really get the fuss over her last time around. May give '19' another chance.

Incredible album, 'Set Fire to the Rain' really is something else!

Thanks, I'll give them a listen.

That's what I was thinking. I downloaded it when it came out but sort of overlooked it I think as I wasn't expecting much.

Don't know how someone would be able to improve this much between albums. I guess my music taste has changed since then too.

I'm loving Rumour Has It at the moment. The production is amazing.

THIS THIS THIS. (I'd include Chasing Pavements also though)

Proof #256 that we are the true and only DOTY of BJ! [/promo] :kink:

I can seriously see myself shouting out "Rumour Has It" at random points of the day.

I watching back old episodes of 90210 (because I'm too cool) yesterday and 'Chasing Pavements' was in the background of one of the episodes. Forgot how much I liked it!

As for the second part, DOTY11 will be ours. I CAN FEEL IT.

So happy with it being NUMBER 1 today in the mids, really didnt expect that. :D May not be there till Sunday but noone can say she didnt put up a good fight, against another great song and artist. :) Would be nice to see her #1 on iTunes for a while though.

This album has taken me by surprise! It's fantastic. A couple of the tracks give me a sort of Johnny Cash feel and 'Hiding My Heart' is very 'Chivas' by Kelly C. (That's certainly not a bad thing in my book!) 'Someone Like You' and 'Set Fire To the Rain' are my clear favourites upon first listen, however I also really like 'Turn Tables', 'Don't You Remember' & 'Take It All'. But what a solid effort! This is going to be a pretty big era for her. Probably similar success to Plan B's 'Strickland Banks' (maybe a bit more successful!) album.

Although 'Rolling In The Deep' (one of the worst songs of 2010) is the worst on the album, strangely I can see why it was the lead as the other songs aren't really "lead single" worthy and more follow-up...

Such a fantastic album! It's really not often I say this but I genunely love close to every track. I like her debut, but thought the strengths lay in the singles and not much else, with this though I love it from start to finish.
Anyone got a link to the album? Not too fussed on 'Rolling In The Deep' but it sounds like it's good!

Agree with all your favourites except I also adore Rolling In The Deep. :) It's a really strong album. The only one I'm not that keen on is He Won't Go.

From what I've heard so far, this album is going to be EPIC

'19' was, bar the brilliant singles, a very self-indulgent, patchy and po-faced affair.... '21', from what I've heard, is a major improvement. And isn't the cover GORGEOUS?!

I love Adele - and she was superb on Alan Carr's show last night - the chat and the live performance - faultless. A class act.

Plus - her cover of one of my favourite songs by The Cure, 'Lovesong' is inspired....
