Really? even if there wasn't a simultaneous iTunes/radio/video release (which it looks like she's gearing up to) I'd fancy her to get to the top on hype alone, even if Britney couldn't.

 

Bad Romance didn't and there was arguably more hype for her then as it hadn't been nearly a year since she'd last released something.

 

I don't know, I just can't see her entering at #1, I think entering at 3 or so then possibly climbing to #1 the next week is more likely. (If it does enter at #1 it'd be her first song to do so - nu Beatles? :kink:)

 

Where abouts is Modestep and Eric Prydz in the iTunes Chart?

 

And Bray, didn't Just Dance enter at number one, other than that she never had a number 1 debut. I don't think BTW will get to number one on hype and name alone, 'Bad Romance' didn't even manage top ten on first week

I don't think shes performing. She already performed at the Brits Launch, but she will get a boost from winning the Critics Choice award

there are two 2-track-bundles available. one bundle includes the "explicit" version and the clean version. the other one the "explict" version and a bonus song (Power Trip).

 

So in the i tunes chart the highest chartin version is the "explicit" from bundle 1, the second highest is the "explicit" from bundle 2 and the one in the 200s is the clean version from bundle 1.

Wonderman #18 Hope it doesnt do what Invinvible did and hang around outside top 10 for weeks.

I suspect this sort of sales pattern is going to happen a lot, now that many songs are going to be released far ahead of their promo.

 

The artist's hardcore fans will buy the songs ASAP, but then there may well be a pause of several weeks until relatively casual buyers start picking up on them, as radio & TV play build up.

 

artists will have to get used to this new release strategy if they are to rise up the charts - songs such as britney will have to coordinate release and promo such as video premieres and official releases on cds or songs will enter 'reasonably' high but fall pretty quickley and then stall in the lower top 30 when the added promo is used.remember the higher up the charts a song the more prolonged airplay it will get and hence the more sucessful theyll be!!

whether we like it or not, it is KYLIE :dance: who is helping 'Higher' become a top 5 hit not Travie McCoy!!!!

Travie is a one hit wonder whose second single actually went...nowhere :puke2: , while Kylie is one of the biggest music acts of all time, especially in the UK where she is the nation's Madonna.

So OK, her last 2 singles didn't do that well, but it was meant to be since all established acts are suffering from the same fate (Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams , U2 & others...) since those acts have a loyal fanbase who buy their album or download their songs (even illegaly) the moment they come out ,

but the new Taio Cruz single wouldn't have made it this far without Kylie, since it was already available on his album for months now so it is her version who helped resuscitate it. :rolleyes:
