But yeah, I don't really care that Champion is debuting at #1. It's probably lost sales from them holding back its release anyway, and this way, it'll not spend as long in the chart.

It's just the second time I've had a reply like that to one of my comments in, like, the last couple of days, so I'm kind of getting a tad annoyed about it understandably. Contrary to this belief I don't change my opinions based on the songs, singer or anything else.

 

And yeah, that's the plus side, but I'd rather see Price Tag at #1 still (and I don't even like the song!)... you just know it'll still be top 5 while Champion is heading out of the top 20. I just like to see songs having good runs at #1 these days, as like I said I don't have the same emotional connection to the charts like I used to (which I'm quite happy about, really).

I hope Jessie can hang on to the #1, the music channels better play it loads this week and it can get more of a lead too.. unlikely though. Saying that I do like 'Champion' although I prefer the Chris Moyles, Tina Daheley version :lol:

That was very quick. I expect huge sales for Chipmunk now. 100k+ maybe.

I had the Loick/Fefe shock too :lol: Was scrolling down the iTunes chart and wasn't paying too much attention! Saw the title Stuttering and nearly died that Fefe Dobson was nearly top 40 on UK iTunes, but noooo it had be the other song :angry: I like Loick's song too though :P

I hope Champion does get to number because I think it's a quality song, so it would be a shame if it didn't get the top position, there's only one position for Champions and that's number 1

Sad Times

The only way you can get massive leads is if you hype up a track LOADS. Like if it's all over the radio, all over TV, and everything, then you release it, and tens of thousands of people all download it at the same time. I can't see this happening any time in the future. Some "normal" songs like Boom Boom Pow and Run had MASSIVE leads on iTunes though!

And is it slightly disturbing that I get all emotional inside when I see Live Your Life (a.k.a. 5 minutes and 38 seconds of the most intense pleasure one can experience) in the top 10 on iTunes?

Such a shame, I was hoping it would be a while before we got a non #1 in 2011

 

Maybe one time we'll get another year with *mostly* great number ones a la 2005-2008

We don't know if Champion will be a non-#1 yet, or even if it'll get to #1 :P Give it some time

 

We R Who We R looks like it could turn out to be a non-#1 (although one with high first-week sales, or second week to be accurate)
