It is possible yes. It was during a much more active time when we regularly used to post more than 20,000 times a week between us. Now we're lucky to pass 10,000 posts (despite having lots more members.) It sounds ridiculous and it is, but it was a regular occurrence to post 100-200 a day back then.

 

Can people PLEASE not post just to get high in this? I know it's tempting when you first join up and you see the older members with their big post counts, sparkling personalities and oversized egos, but 20 GOOD posts are much better than 200 crap ones and we've all had to learn that at some point. Learn it now. Learn it good.

I always make sure my posts are quite long, and often cram a lot in. It's better that way, you won't be seen as boring and saying just 'lol' or 'love this song'. Whoever posted 2000 times in a week must've been basically posted like 'lol' or 'this song's good' in every thread :P

There are a lot of archived artist forums that helped with that post count though. Posting of news items in the different AFs as well as discussing the music of the artist in question. There were also survivor games, countdowns of favourite music of certain artists. Some members moderated multiple forums and others use a fuller range of forums. So, not completely spam I would have thought.

Yeah exactly. Despite having less members it was just generally more active and it wasn't too hard to post 100+ times a day without spamming. I'm pretty sure to get 600 in a day though Kelly MUST have spammed at least a tincy bit.

I can't believe that over all the time I've been a regular poster on BJ I've only got to #1 on this chart twice. (I am in the top 10 nearly every week which I'm proud of / not at all proud of though)

 

I have an average of 28 posts per day over nearly 2 years.
