Notes :

1. I’ve only been monitoring sales since 2009, so unless Music Week have specifically mentioned a total figure for a single/album, I’m unlikely to be able to help with lifetime sales for anything released before then. I recommend asking on the Haven chart forum for older figures; Andy for singles, Dave for albums.

2. Also, I only track current year singles/albums that I estimate are in the YTD T200, and/or those that have continuous chart runs to date. Therefore I'm unlikely to be able to help with oldies from previous years, unless thay are still selling consistantly.

3. Next, while I am happy to answer sales requests for songs/albums, please remember to state specifically which you want, and hold back on multiple requests until Thursday each week. Also, please try not to ask about the same songs/albums every week, especially if they are out of the top 40, since they won't change much week-to-week down there.

4. Its better if you post requests in the YTD T40 singles/albums threads, rather than the Sales one, as I sometimes miss them if they are in the latter.

5. Finally, since I post to both Buzzjack & Haven, it might be a good idea to check both forums before asking a question, as you may find someone has already requested the info you want elsewhere.

Depending on how well Plan B's album goes at The Brits (if he wins it there will a big boost, if he doesn't there won't be), Adele's '19' could be up to number 4 by the end of February! :o

Cant believe Adele's 3year old album is the 5th biggest selling album of the year so far and has been #4 in the chart for the last 2 weeks, thats really some achievement!

What a great top 5! :D

Quite shocked The Fame is still in the top 20. It has been 2 years since it's release in the UK now. I suspect it will get a HUGE boost when Born This Way is released in May.

Incredible, isn't it? And the amazing thing is its sales are increasing and it has risen 2 places in a week (and currently outselling Rihanna!). Unless Plan B has a successful Brits I reckon '19' will be 4th in the YTD chart by the end of the month (she's cut the lead he had by 17000 in the last week!).

Does anyone know what 19's total sales are now please?

I have it on 830.5k

I wonder what the odds would be on Adele finishing the year with both her albums in the Top 10 YTD list?
I don't suppose you have an estimated total of Cheryl's 3 Words album for this year, and its overall total? It was the 71st best selling last week. Thank you! :D

Very long indeed.

'21' no problem, but '19' won't be able to ride on the back of the newer album's success for too long.

It's a bit of a funny one, this - it's only been on the budget chart this year, so that makes its sales harder to gauge.

However, I'd say ~14.5k for 2010, and 964.5k in total.

Thank you! :D

So close to a million, frustrating that it isn't in the main chart so it's easier to keep track of.

Cheryl could eventually have a million selling single and album :o. I never expected her to be so sucessful.

Is Plan B anywhere near a million yet?

Is 48.5k short, close enough for you? :)

Should take him 5-6 more weeks, unless the Brits help him.

Actually, are you sure about 964.5k?

On 9th January its official sale was 942,398. Somewhere in the region of 950-955k would make more sense?

It seems to me that '19''s sales at the moment confirm Adele is picking up massive numbers of new fans with '21' and they are obviously deciding to investigate further. Of course, the X Factor helped sales of '19' as well. I wonder how many X Factor hopefuls will be warbling their version of 'Someone Like You' this year? My bet would be loads of 'em...plus I would imagine she's a shoo in to be a special guest at some point in the show (she's a massive fan) and so the sales keep on going. But I do agree, it would be very long odds indeed.

Hmm... you may have highlighted a bug in my spreadsheet that affects manually adjusted totals.

I'll have to get back to you on this...
