Black and Yellow will be #1. Too big a tune to not go #1.

Lady Gaga has quite a huge lead. #1 next week, definitely.

not to keen on Black & Yellow, a grower?

I didn't like it on first listen, because of the beat mainly, but I LOVE it now!!! So addictive. It's one of those songs that makes you feel like you're starring in some Hollywood film, walking on top of sky-scrapers in the night-time, with your arms wide open, and with cars, the size of ants, driving round the bustling city below you, and there's a slight breeze, and it's calm, but at the same time, adrenaline is pumping through your body, and you're feeling all panicked, but you don't know why. You know that feeling?

Just found out Black and Yellow is produced by Stargate, the same guys who produced Only Girl and Firework!! NO WONDER it's so epic!!

my pop bars are a tad slow LOL

Champion is still #1 ^_^

Yeah, there were 7 Glee tracks in the top 10 a few days ago, or something crazy like that! :o

The Glee tracks would be doing a lot better in the UK if we weren't so far behind all the other countries I reckon.

thats one saving grace for the uk charts then!!

I quite like 'Black & Yellow' but it doesn't scream #1 to me tbh.

A 'fake' version is at #82 on itunes by 'The Hype Squad' but the 30 second clip sounds like the original to me? Mabye they have put it up sneakly under a different name?

the chart countdown o sunday is going to be mental on her if we get well into the top 10 and reggie still hasnt announced a new entry for born this way ive a feeling some people in here will pass out (and not in the tinie tempah sort of way)!!

I want it to chart at #2 to be honset, just to see the drama on here.

shes truly be "that" massive now- where she can go #1 just on the name brand, cause MAJORITY of the feedback everywhere u look has been universally negative LOL! Thing is though, its blatantly just frontloaded for the mere fact that is Lady GaGa new song. NO one has created a hunger for a new song since the likes of MJ and Madonna in the 80s and 90s and maybe a select few others. I feel a good portion of these sales are from people who may not have even listened to what they bought LOL. They just saw her name and wanted it ASAP without even digesting it. Not saying at all itll be as big of a flop- but its kinda like the anticipation for Madonnas Erotica in 1992 (MASSIVE airplay and media interest out of the gate) then once the lack of quality set in, it nosedived. Sorry, but TOO many people all over the internet etc..are panning this song. I dont see longevity.

iTunes Popularity Bars

People are only hating on it because they feel Lady Gaga is overrated. I do it a bit too to be fair, but if Katy Perry released the song, I don't think it'd be getting as much hate, because Katy Perry isn't as critically acclaimed as Gaga, and it wouldn't be having this success, so the people that don't like the song wouldn't feel the need to speak out like they are doing at the moment.

So, at what time did Lady Gaga actually go #1 - I wasn't online at the time?

Never mind, I've seen the answer now - less than 5 hours!

This means, to have sold more in under 5 hours than Chipmunk did in 48, she must have been outselling him by an unbelieveable ten to one over the period!

I want it to chart at #2 to be honset, just to see the drama on here.

Gaga would have to sell at least 40k to even go T5, and that would would mean selling at 200k/wk pace over the 34 hours, which looks unlikely. Somewhere between 6-10, I'd say.

BTW, on a side issue, does anyone know why McFly/Taio, and Sugarland have climbed so significantly in the last 24 hours?

Lady GaGa's is beating Jessie J by about 25 pop bars, my guess as I can't count pop bars. But she will only sell about 17k this week getting her to number 12, she'll be lucky to go top ten, and she'll need a miracle to go top 5.

And Rihanna has been in the iTunes top ten for some time, she has to go top ten officially this Sunday. C'mon, c'mon, c'mon ...

McFly were on Comedy Rocks and Sugarland were on the Graham Norton show last night.

Personally, I just use a ruler against the screen to measure pop.bars.

*****

17k wouldn't even get her top 15 - but I've predicted she'll do significantly better than that - see a previous post.
