This is much better than The Time, which is saying a LOT imo. Brilliant song.

Hopefully, this'll be another smash #1 for the biggest group in the world atm (except for Take That). I think they'll get another #1 with around 80/90k sales.

It's cr@p! It'll be low top 10 with 20k-30k highest week sales. BEPs have really flopped with this album.

I think it's a fantastic song!

I saw it at #3 on iTunes in another country, so if it's been so well-received there (I think it was Australia?), it has the potential to do well here too (although it wasn't even in the top 1000 yet, last time I checked ).

5-10 with highest sales 40-60k! For one more time, disappointed by BEP!

Am I the only one who cries inside whenever will.i.am tries to sing (and not out of joy)? His vocoder mess makes every BEPs song sound so cheesy. I thought it was just the sample that made The Time (Dirty Bit) sound like that but after listening to this I suddenly realise it wasn't. Sigh. I swear it wasn't this horrible on The E.N.D., but then again his singing parts were a lot faster on The E.N.D. songs compared to the two singles off this so far.

This will probably explode once the video gets released. They could release a video of them sitting on stools while they stare into space and the music video channels will still play it all the time. JLS and Rihanna are in the same boat there.

So it's hard to say. I guess it depends on timing of the video release, too. Maybe just inside/outside the top 10?

^ It got to #3 on iTunes in some other countries with no video.

I like the effects they use on their voices tbh. Plus, will.i.am doesn't use it on EVERY song. If you listen to their earlier albums, there wasn't much "electro" in their music at all, compared to now, and they did just fine back then, too.

Umm, I was talking about THIS country. I don't care about Australia, to be perfectly honest.

And I know that... I don't hate every Black Eyed Peas song (in fact, I love some of them, like Request + Line, Don't Phunk With My Heart, Where Is The Love?). Like I said, it's only really this album it's started to get on my nerves. And I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about their level of success in relation to this vocoder mess

When I said "did just fine", I meant in terms of the quality of their songs. You said "will.i.am tries to sing", suggesting that he can't, so I was meaning that he has done vocals fine in past songs without experimenting with computer effects, so clearly the reason he's doing it now is because it makes the songs sound better.

I cited Australia, because lots of people are buying the song there with 0 video airplay. A video will benefit the song in the UK, but it's possible for the song to sell without a video, and there's proof for that. You clearly don't like the song, so it's convenient to attribute its success to its video, since then it can be claimed people don't like the song, and are just brainwashed into buying it by MTV.

I bet I've misunderstood you again, haven't I? Although, to be fair, you misunderstood me too, so I guess we're even.

This is far better than 'The Time', I actually quite like this. Don't think it will be that big though to be honest, can see a peak of #5.

Misunderstood? Maybe. Reading too much into a simple comment? Most definitely.

I said the song would probably explode when the video is released because most of their singles have had a massive boost at that time, and since this single is selling poorly at the moment it's hardly wrong to assume that the video would give it an even bigger boost (position-wise) than a song of theirs that is already high up in the charts. Do you disagree with that? I'm not sure how you can, really. It seems fairly basic to me. I'm not blaming any success on a video or saying anyone is being brainwashed into buying it. A video is basic, valid promotion like anything else and the Black Eyed Peas are good at benefitting from that because they get a lot of video airplay, and I'm certainly far from bitter about it. Just stating a simple fact. If they climb up the charts without a video, then great for them, but frankly I don't care THAT much either way, so I have no idea how you got that from my post.

Honestly, you assume things way too much. Some people might make comments like that if that scenario does happen, but I for one couldn't care less.

Okay. :)

Okay. :)

 I feel bad now like I just spewed some massive bile at you only for you to come back with a nice "okay :)"

Didn't mean to sound rude - it just annoys me when people don't understand something I say or think something totally different to what I meant (although I don't think I help sometimes).

It relieves me a bit that you're actually doing this to someone other than Bray this time.

Thanks :D :kink:

lol, it's okay. You didn't offend me or anything. And I read your last post, and I think I actually understood all of it properly this time, because I just thought "Well, that's reasonable enough".

I'm confused. YOU are Bray, aren't you?

:o When have I done anything to you? I've always been quite nice to/about you! I even gave you a 10 in my rate, I think (though that was ages ago now).

I seriously need to work on trying to soften some of my posts, though, when I'm replying to someone like that. I recall doing it to Klumzee(?) not long ago, too.

To be honest, I get into a lot of arguements (well not really arguements, because I don't think anybody actually gets angry over it in real life, but you know what I mean ) on here, but I never remember which members I actually have them with.

I believe it was regarding The Prodigy (how convenient) and how they'd apparently done nothing in the charts since 1997 until 2009. I then pointed out that they had a top 5 single and 2 #1 albums and you semi-exploded at me for 'over-analysing a throwaway comment'.

That jerked your memory? Or was that someone else?

EDIT: This post looks a bit too serious, so I think I'll put a :kink: in here.

It could be a no1 but I will say no2. I don't know it just somehow fits better in my brains!

It will sell about 60k on its best week. When is it released?
