It's like musical chairs, lol. Fascinating, though...
She said to a fan outside Jay Leno that it's coming next week

To be fair, she also said to Jay Leno that she'd had an email from Madonna. (j/k, j/k, j/k) :naughty:

I was reading about that on another website, but I don't get exactly what happened. Did Madonna e-mail her, Lady Gaga told everyone, and then Madonna claimed nothing ever happened (this reminds me of something else lol)? Or something?

To be honest Gagas release hasnt lived up to the hype surrounding its release, im not surprised its not doing as well as everyone expected. I think the general music public have had enough of her and her weirdness and public stunts and the fact that she really isnt that original at all.

I really hope Adele gets to number 1. There really is no comparison to me and anyone with any sense would see that as well.

Adele:1 lady- 1 amazing voice -1 piano - 1 performance = pure talent

Gaga: 1 lady - rip off Madonna - public stunts to boost publicity- average voice

Adele all the way... and if she can get number one with just the Brits then that is bloody amazing.

PS: Im not a Gaga hater, just dont understand the big fuss, there is nout special abhout her music, its her image that draws people to her.

If you look on youtube at GaGa's early (pre GaGa just search for STEFANI GERMANOTTA) days she actually tried the 'conventional' ballad route......and failed miserably. Hence the adoption of the crazy persona - don't believe it for a minute, it's all marketing. Albeit clever marketing. So, in that sense, Adele is the true victor - no silly stunts, no pyrotechnics, no gimmicks, just her amazing (natural) voice, a Barbadian piano man and magic ensues.

its been less than a week though and its still number 1 in a lot of other countries purely on name, at least wait until the video is released

That didn't really answer my question.

But anyway, to be fair, I don't really mind her craziness to be honest. I quite enjoy it tbh. Even her really high sales, while they do baffle me, I could cope with. It's more just the critical acclaim that her music gets. As a person, she doesn't annoy me, and her songs, whilst I think they're overrated, they're not that bad either. But I've just never really understood why a song like Poker Face got (in general) such good reviews by almost everybody, when I think it's much worse than other pop songs such as All Night Long (Alexandra Burke), Higher (The Saturdays), Alejandro, Hollywood (Marina), Only Girl, Hot N Cold, etc. Those are much better pop songs from this era.

Thats all it is purly by name... not my talent or song.

TBH I cant see the video having much impact fans snaped up their download on Fri, its been non stop on radio so general public have had chance to buy it, it may have some impact, but most who wanted to get it already have, the video wont make them buy it again.

What I'm trying to say is she's fake (certainly compared to Adele) in the sense that she's had to create a pre-meditated crazy character to be noticed because as a 'conventional' artist no-one really cared. Adele has never had to do this. And, to be fair, 'old' Gaga (Stefani) wasn't bad at all...but probably not any different to many lounge singers.

Now some would suggest it's something to do with that organisation starting with the letters illu but as i'm not even sure they exist I couldn't offer any useful insight.

"Most of those who wanted it already have it".

How much as the song sold so far? Say it's sold 150,000 so far (although I'm sure it can't've sold that much yet). Are you saying it'll sell less than 300,000?

I'm almost certain BTW will sell over 500,000 tbh.

I much prefer that Lady Ga Ga. She was very pretty and her voice much nicer. She was just lovely, really. Still, The Fame Monster is .

Obviously it will sell more, I just dont think it will sell as much as everyone expected.

Only time will tell what happens with BTW

Last week surely proved beyond doubt that she has 60,000 absolute die hard supporters in the UK, the rest are more casual supporters (those who are downloading this week). Whilst that sounds a low number, I don't think it is - the biggest artists in the World probably have a similar number of absolute die hards (who are also probably multi buyers), the rest of the success equation is taken up by casuals who get involved later if they like what they see/hear.
