Adele have HUGE lead :o

I know, its lead is CRAZY BIG. Most certainly #1 on Sunday then, so pleased though - her best song to date and will be her first #1. Again, the chart run will look strange as its going to be a re-entry at the top!

Thats all it is purly by name... not my talent or song.

TBH I cant see the video having much impact fans snaped up their download on Fri, its been non stop on radio so general public have had chance to buy it, it may have some impact, but most who wanted to get it already have, the video wont make them buy it again.

I'm no Gaga fan AT ALL but it's such a stupid thing to say. The song can still sell lots, it's not like it's been out for 30 weeks and been overplayed on radios for months. Only because there was a big hype for its release doesn't mean EVERYONE on the planet has heard it, plus songs can take a while to grow on people so they decide to buy it.

I mean, just look at "Chasing cars" or "Sex on fire", those songs were overplayed forever and they were still hanging around the charts for over a year, even if you'd think people could have bought it well earlier. And let's not even talk about "I gotta feeling". So it's stupid to say a song is "over" and that people would have already bought it if they wanted, when it's only been out a few days.

Massive lead for Adele

Hopefully Sundays chart will look like this.

1. Adele

2. Jessie J

3. Gaga :yahoo:

Im sorry if i was misunderstood, but I was refering to the initail hype over the release of BTW. With all the promo on the net and news etc people know its out there, i dont think it will sell as much as it has already over this short period of time. We will see.

NUMBER 1 BABBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! :w00t:

SO HAPPY :D

 Adele & Someone Like You

Adele will definitely be #1. If she isn't, it will be a huge shock...
Stitched on for Adele!! So happy for her. Seriously, exactly how many copies has the live version sold in the last 24 hours??

Well, Wednesday is the lowest day for sales, I think, so maybe like 8,000?

Adele really looking likely to be on 100k+ this week depending on how the lead is tommorow..

I still want gaga to get number one though.

I would be surprised if it's not way more than 8000. It's the slackest day for sales but it's also the day after she stole the show at The Brits. I would imagine a big proportion of the down loaders are not in any way 'regulars'...

8000? More than that.

A LOT more. #5-#3 in the mids tomorrow, #2 friday, #1 sunday.

I was just talking about the live version when I said 8,000, btw.

My logic was that Lady Gaga might be heading for like 100,000 this week or something, so that's like 14,000 per day. But she was selling more in comparison to other songs at the beginning of the week than now, and Sundays usually have more sales than Wednesdays, so I though maybe she'd sell like 19,000 on the Sunday, and like 9,000 today. Taking into account that iTunes doesn't make up 100% of sales, I guessed SLY (Live) would've sold like 8,000 (if it's iTunes only, if not, maybe 9,000). Both versions combined would be like 15,000? I'm probably WAY off. I've made far too many assumptions in my reasoning and calculations.

You're way off.. lol

lol. How do you know?

Okay, if it's sales stay consistent relative to the other songs until the end of the week, we have:

Sun-Tues:2,000

Wed: 15,000

Thurs: 18,000

Fri: 21,000

Sat: 24,000

So that's like 80,000 this week? That's what I predict.

Yeah, I probably am way off, but how do you think you know any better? :D Do you have common sense, or something?
