Seriously? <_< For God's sake, 'Afternoon Delight' was rubbish and 'Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)' was pretty much the only decent song from the episode! <_< <_<

Well, here's my comment and a reply I received from Brett-Butler, regarding 'Do You Want to Touch Me (Oh Yeah)'...

 

Not expecting 'Loser Like Me' or 'Get It Right' to impact just yet. Hopefully they linger around before catapulting into the top 20 in 2 weeks time! :D

It's a shame really, that it's a Gary Glitter song (although they state they're actually covering Joan Jett's version of the song) as it's the best song (along with 'Landslide') from that particular episode :(

 

The difference between the song being played in America and here in the UK is that he does not get paid for his songs getting broadcast or sold in the United Kingdom, as opposed to in America. He sold the UK rights to his music a few years back when he was hard up, so he only gets paid when his music is used in countries other than the UK. I read somewhere that he rakes in £150,000 per year in those royalties, which is £200,000 more than that person deserves.

 

So if you do like the song and live in the UK, you can download the song without feeling guilty. Although given that it's a Glee song, why would you?

So, if he doesn't receive any royalties from the song or broadcasting royalties or whatever, why would they care about here in the UK? Surely we're doing the RIGHT thing by him not receiving any? :lol:

 

It's the best song from that episode imo and I don't think we should miss out on a good version of a song, just because the original artist is a fuckwit!
