February 20, 201115 yr (39) Glee-Start Me Up/Livin On A Prayer somewhat a disapointing year for Glee on the chart so far, I think by this time the group had already 4 top 20 hits but so far they have yet to make it past #25 on the UK singles chart this year.
February 20, 201115 yr Yes they're flopping in the charts, no one can deny that. Not even the gleeks. But the TV show has been given a boost to record ratings recently (for the show). The more seem to have watched it, but Glee have never really been powerhouses to stay in the charts for a while and were never purposely set out to dominate the charts as much as they have done. (Bar DSB which was released to promote the show) I remember there being an interview with Ryan (the creator) of Glee, and he said he didn't really release the songs so they could dominate the charts, he just set out to give the fans what they wanted and they wanted to be able to download the songs that were being used. So if those that are really bothered about the show/have been following since the start, already have the songs downloaded, they're not going to pay for another copy of exactly the same song. We're not Girls Aloud fanbase! The songs that are entering the top 40 now, are those that are cherry picked by the casual watchers of the show. i just caught a huge salmon travelling upstream there!!! :lol:

February 20, 201115 yr I didn't really like Rescue Me, YM@6 deserve success but I'd prefer if it would be one of their actually good songs getting that success (such as Underdog :() Underdog is one of my fav songs of last year....wonder how much more chances they will get on radio 1s playlist tho, 5 flops and youre out usually!! :unsure:

February 20, 201115 yr What's My Name never gets old :D Drake's verse is the best rent-a-rapper verse :lol: I'm worried that I'll never be able to stop listening to What's My Name? tbh. :( Also, Drake wasn't really a "rent-a-rapper" this time, because he did the verse just for fun, but they liked it so much they decided to put it onto the album! Usually it's like the other way round "We want a rap verse on our song, can you do it?". :lol:
