How immense would it be it Born This Way fell down to #10 in time for Glee Cast to climb in!?!?!?

Having just heard the 30 second clip of 'Singing In The Rain/Umbrella', I think I'd rather see Lady GaGa stay top 10.

Or was this all nothing to do with the video, and just a coincidence that people all over the world suddenly started buying the song more?

I'm pretty sure it was because of the video... :P

Gaga's new single is crap and thankgod the UK sees this!

Something tells me, she has peaked. She still will be successful but not as the Fame(Monster) stuff, due to her writing all that material at the same time ish!

Now she feels she has to satisfy us monsters by trying to change and writing such cliched lyrics, as "dont be a drag, just be a queen!"

People just want fun from her not a DEEP message.....she's thinks she's so avant garde too! :puke2:

We can't be entirely sure Gaga will go back up with the video - look at Britney! :( I can't believe she's down to 7 already!

Britney was out of the top 40 on itunes, they left it far too late

patience is a virtue with Gaga songs, look at Telephone, its run was:

74R(2)-67-55-48-49-42-39-39-34-37-31

after the video it went:

31-12-{1}-1

so I think the video will give it a boost for sure, plus Gaga is far bigger than Britney atm (in terms of who is more hyped) so as long as its interesting and not a fail like Alejandro was, it should still benefit

Now she feels she has to satisfy us monsters by trying to change and writing such cliched lyrics, as "dont be a drag, just be a queen!"

Not really, GaGa said in an interview that the rest of the album is nothing like 'Born This Way'...

I prefer Singing in the Rain/Umbrella tbh.

Yeah and she also said that BTW will be like nothing anyone has heard before and she also said that Madonnas gave her her blessing, but that has been denied by Madonnas rep!

Gaga lies... fact!

A lot of artists probably think all their songs sound different though, when they don't to a large portion of the public. I'm sure Tinchy Stryder, Edward Maya, Roll Deep, Bruno Mars, David Guetta, etc. would probably all say their songs sound completely different.
Technically Umberella is #11 as Adele has two versions ahead?

Also Forget You is close to top 10 combined :o

Yeah but there are a few other songs ahead of SITR/U when combined so that's not really a valid argument. It's #12, let's just stick with that. If it goes top 10 it has a higher chance of staying there than Telephone as there's no immediate challenge waiting to knock it out (JLS knocked out Telephone after just over one and a half days)

I'm guessing she didn't say it was like the Fame either or an evolution of?!

Puh-lease. There is no proof whatsoever that Madonna did not send that email. Gaga HERSELF said on NATIONAL TV that she received it. I doubt she'd lie in front of millions.

You have no proof. FACT.

SOMEONE LIKE YOU #4 - ALBUM VERSION :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Pop bars are very close obviously.

Never Say Never  #31 :o Is this even on radio or tv? lol Just the film giving it promo.

Surprised Yeah 3x is still doing so well, but it is catchy, and getting great TV support.

Could see Glee top 10 then soon, what was their last song in the top 10? :o Been a while!

Do It Like A Dude #13, doing so well, i remember it hanging around in the 20s for weeks just not going anywhere, now its been huge!

Who's That Chick #14 :dancing: Would love to see this back in top 10

Glad to see Rockeer not dropping too much, #19, Rescue Me on the other hand is #38!

So far BTW has only gone to number 1 in 8 countries.... so cant really be considerd as being a world wide hit.

I dont the video will make much difference TBH, its getting plenty of air play here in the UK, its just not number 1 material.

So glad Adele is storming the charts again this week. Its gunna stay at number 1 for sure :)

8 x #1, 5 x #2, 2 x #3 and 1 x #4 in its debut week. Not to mention the fastest-selling single in iTunes history.

Oh, and #1 on the United World Chart.

If that isn't a worldwide hit, I don't know what is... Either way, it's the biggest hit of the year so far worldwide.

she also said that Madonnas gave her her blessing, but that has been denied by Madonnas rep!

Gaga lies... fact!

Madonna's rep didn't deny it, they said they didn't know anything about it. I doubt Madonna's rep will know every e-mail she sends out to other people. And I doubt GaGa would say a lie like that on a national broadcast.

The article itself came from theexaminer, a website on which pretty much anyone can write an article. It's less reliable than the Daily Fail...

The fastest selling song in iTunes history speaks for itself i think, and sales are likely to increase with more airplay and a video coming soon.

Madonna was at Gaga's Monster Ball Tour last night, so maybe she passed on a personal message herself :P

I agree, a worldwide hit is a song that hits number 1 in a majority of the countries across the world. For instance Poker Face went number 1 in 20+ countries, that is a worldwide hit...BTW is number 1 in 8 countries, how many countries are in the world?.....alot more than 8

^ But if you go by that reasoning, then there was like only 1 worldwide hit last year. Even Bad Romance didn't go #1 in over 20 countries.

Hips Don't Lie went #1 in almost 60 countries though, I read somewhere!! :o
