I like to think that future generation, instead of celebrating the return of Jesus (or Alexandra Burke as he's now called), will use Easter as a celebration of the return of Girls Aloud. A true Christmas Easter miracle.

But yes, I'm hoping for more than one gig. New single at least and a proper tour.

I've just tidied up my room, and rearranged my GA shrine  (basically the majority of my collection all in one place) Seems silly having loads of GA CD's dominating my A-Z of everything else.

Just thought, it's the Olympics next year, please don't say that would be a one off. Would certainly tempt me back though!

Capital FM news has said Girls Aloud could be opening the Olympics

Hahaha that would be ridiculously epic

Just as well I put my name down for opening ceremony tickets last night :heehee:

Can't really see it happening as it wouldn't be for the fans if it was a one off thing. Sort of why I don't count the Coldplay gig as the last live date they did.

It's almost like Capital read thiis thread, saw me mention the Olympics, then made a news story with 'a source'.

This is on the Capital FM website:

18wGirls Aloud for 2012 Olympics?

Could Girls Aloud be reforming to perform at the opening ceremony?

We told you earlier in the week that the girls will be getting back together in 2012, as they mark their 10 year anniversary.

The group's manager Hilary Shaw told The People: "Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their tenth anniversary so there will be something."

Shaw added a new album is unlikely, but said the girls are "getting on great. They speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl and Nadine with the other girls. Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls and is planning something which could be a one off or some gigs."

So could that one-off gig be London 2012? Well, a source said, “With the girls already planning to reform next year Olympic Officials are keen for them to open the games.

“They are the biggest British girl group in recent years and what better way for them to celebrate their tenth anniversary?”

It would be amazing if they had some performance at the Olympics! World platform to show off the finest Girl Band this country has ever produced!

I don't care what people say, they deserve it. They came a long way from their reality beginnings to become national treasures. How often can you say the public knows the names of every single band member personally! Not very.

I don't think they do, i still hear people refer to Nicola as the moody ginger.

Most of general public knows only Cheryl and 50% of those don't realise that she's from Girls Aloud to be honest.

I'm not sure how I feel about Olympics idea. They're the UK-only act, I think someone huge internationally should open for it.

Haha! Or even just 'the ginger one' :P

nope they would call her that ginger one and then i'd have to tell them what her name is.

Capital FM meet pinch of salt.

Because a source told me, the moon is in fact made of crackers not cheese.

Capital have taken Hilary's comments, m looked to see what is happening next year and found a mystery source much like mine.

It would be great forthem but its not exactly for the fans especially if it was a one off

Yeah, I couldn't care less about the Olympics but I'm absolutly gone mad over the fact Girls Aloud are returning :w00t:

Louis Walshe was on a chat show in Ireland last night and was asked about Girls Aloud and he said they should continue as a 4 piece, maening no cheryl, he was then asked about cheryl and nadine and he said he no comment as people from thier family ie Nadine might be watching, i know Louis can $h!t stir but for some reason i kind of think he knows alot about what is really going on.

Bull$h!t, he doesn't have a clue about what's happening in GA camp. Anyway, there's nothing happening, so I don't get what he could be supposed to know. Reunion in 2012, that's all we know, and that's all he could possibly know as well.

Louis has nothing to do with Girls Aloud anymore and hasn't for a long while. He has nothing to do with Cheryl either apart from being a colleague on X Factor. He's just an old man with a big mouth.

Oh Louis, he needs to shut it sometimes. They fired him remember
