Nicola Roberts confirms Girls Aloud reunion

Nicola Roberts has confirmed the news that Girls Aloud are getting back together.

 

After being ditched from the US X Factor judging panel, Cheryl Cole is guaranteed to stay busy as Nic spills the beans on a Girls Aloud reunion tour.

 

According to Nic, Cheryl Cole getting the chop is actually a good thing.

 

"At least she'll be free to do the reunion show with us," Nicola confessed.

 

This seems to back up the comments from Girls Aloud former manager Louis Walsh.

 

"I would say Girls Aloud will go and probably do a tour," Louis told Capital FM's showbiz reporter.

 

"I don't know for definite but I've got a feeling."

 

Well it looks like the feeling was right, with rumours still flying that Nicola, Cheryl and co. could be a part of the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.

I don't understand why people are reporting that they could be opening the Olympics ceremony. I highly, highly, highly doubt that they would.

 

In Beijing, we sent over three of the most recognised faces from the UK; David Beckham, Leona Lewis & Jimmy Page. If anyone was going to open the ceremony, it would be a band like The Rolling Stones for example.

The Rolling Stones ARE British talent and whilst being long past it have done a bloody LOT more for the music industry than Girls Aloud. I also think the very idea of GA being remotely big enough to open the Olympics (viewed by 2 billion people isn't it?) is absurd.

Obviously they wont be the only act to be performing. They could surely have a slot and rumours have to start somewhere.
