February 27, 201115 yr As has already been said, Avril is doing astonishingly well considering she hasn't even gone Top 25. I like What The Hell but I was really hoping for something new/different from her this time round.
February 27, 201115 yr People still say Westlife only do covers and they have a much better original song to cover ratio than Glee. As Jamie says, Glee are meant to do covers as they're a glee club, so they deserve the criticism for filling up the charts with their $h!tty covers until they start doing *good* covers. They can do good covers - Teenage Dream and Like A Prayer are both very good IMO - but the vast majority of their covers are absolutely awful. exactly!!
February 27, 201115 yr 28 (from 31) Take That - Kidz [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2764561.JPG Chart Run: 31-28 [2 wks] Release date: 21-02-2011 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 2764561 Label: Polydor Every decade has a teenybopper band that takes the charts by storm, and the early 1990s saw Take That picking up in the U.K. where '80s American teen stars New Kids On The Block left off. Led by songwriter and lead vocalist Gary Barlow, Take That hit it big with a mixture of dance-pop and heart-tugging ballads. After Robbie Williams's departure in 1995, the group held on long enough to release a greatest-hits package before calling it quits. Take That, minus Williams, re-united in 2006 for an unlikely but triumphant return to the centre stage with hit singles and albums, multiple music award gongs, as well as critical reappraisal. TT's 2009 The Circus Live tour became the fastest-selling in UK history. - HMV Video here: Nx3tNxcnxow track listing 1. Kidz 2. February 27, 201115 yr Only up 3 for Kidz with the physical release, that's not very good. The song is also not very good. What happened to Take That? :( Anyway, Avril has a pretty decent chart run, shame it looks like it'll peak at #27 but hopefully it'll sell a decent amount overall. February 27, 201115 yr what a flop for Take That :( it was expected though, this release has been handled terribly
February 27, 201115 yr Hopefully, this will stay in the top 100 for a while. I'd hate for it to completely divebomb, it's epic.
February 27, 201115 yr As has already been said, Avril is doing astonishingly well considering she hasn't even gone Top 25. I like What The Hell but I was really hoping for something new/different from her this time round. True. What is shocking is how badly this has done. Kidz is a good song (though SOS would have been better) but if this can't go top 20 after a Brits performance, what chance do bands like Hurts have?
February 27, 201115 yr I hated this song after they performed it at the BRITs but the studio version is actually quite epic
February 27, 201115 yr Only up 3 for Kidz with the physical release, that's not very good. The song is also not very good. What happened to Take That? :( What are you talkng about? The song's not good??? The song is great!!!!!!!! :D What happened to Take That? Their album sold 1.5 million copies in a few weeks the last time I had checked.
February 27, 201115 yr In the US, originally, Forget You was underperforming, and once it was performed on Glee, Cee-Lo's version climbed loads and charted top 10 for the week after. Cee-Lo made quite a bit of money thanks to Glee. And didn't Bruno Mars produce and write Forget You? At least part of it anyway. ceelos is only peaking in america at the mo, thats to do with promo nothing else. im not backing down a tv show that sings decent covers of songs from other artists doesnt deserve to stop other artists from having a top 40 single - end of. im sure once the people in here grow out of glee which they surely eventually will they will be deleting all their glee covers from their ipod!!
February 27, 201115 yr Answer to chart trivia is Ghosts 'N' Stuff, which made #12. A chart trivia actually related to the charts for once :o Hello  Edited February 27, 201115 yr by Bray
February 27, 201115 yr I Remember??? Which I love  Ghosts N Stuff actually charted two places higher although I think IR outsold it both are great tracks though  Edited February 27, 201115 yr by chart wizard
February 27, 201115 yr Ghosts N Stuff actually charted two places higher, both of which are great tracks  Oh. i agree though, both are fantastic songs. But "I Remember" has amazing vocals in it.. sums up my summer of '09 so well! Can't believe it's already two years old :o
