Congrats to Cremey on his win this week and everyone else who has taken part this week.

================================================================================

Rules:

1 Design one cover (Single or Album) per week, you have the option to change your cover as many times as you want as long it meets the closing deadline. And please edit your original cover.

2 The Cover Design should always be your own creation, and no one else's. All forms of cheating will result in removal from the Leaderboard.

3 New members are welcome to join anytime and any member of Buzzjack can vote not just the cover designers, in the voting thread once set up at the end of the week. You cannot vote for your own covers. And don't forget its a cover competition, you are voting for a cover not your favourite artist or for your favourite member.

4 A winner will be announced every four months and the Leaderboard will then be set back to zero.

5 The Cover Voting Thread will be posted after all covers are submitted, I will give an extension if needed at my own discretion. The voting thread will close on every Sunday at 9pm (UK time), the winning cover will be revealed after the votes have been counted.

6 Any votes submitted after 9pm will not be counted, same goes for PM votes.

7 I will send one and only one reminder each Saturday evening/Sunday Morning to Cover Designers that have not submitted votes during the voting period.

8 If you are not playing any more, please let me know if you wish your name to be removed from the Leaderboard.

9 Please let me know your change of Display Name, sometimes its hard to keep track of who's who.

Deadline: 4th March 9pm (Friday)

I didn't get a reminder this time :(

the "old" system was easier to remember (had the most of the weekend to vote)....seems all over the place at the moment....

Nice and simple with the red thing returning.

That's because at the moment there is a poor turn out each week we are barely hitting 10 covers each week, there used to be around 13 covers plus at one stage. We need some of the old members coming back like DJ Charly, Goodvibes, Vanessa, Josh :(

well done to cremey.

Sorry, I forgot until quite late on :( I was going to remind you on MSN last night but you weren't online :(

I was thinking of a small deduction, but considering most people can vote without a reminder, I didn't want to mess up the 20pt deduction system.

Sorry again, it's because I wait for more covers. May try and get some more people involved.

Wow, thanks! My first win in quite a while.

May have to go for the wonderful Lykke Li again this week.

agreed - the goalposts seem to shift week by week depending on if a 'friend' is late etc..... deadlines are deadlines - if missed, tough, really..... I've had 40 points lopped off my scores due to not voting over 2 weekends when I've been on holidays - so... rules have to be stuck to. I think if someone is late, regardless of how many covers we have, then they've missed the boat, end of. A whole week's quite bit of time to give people chance to prepare something.....

I do agree on deadlines being deadlines (how is a week not enough time to prepare?), I've never been that keen on late covers but I still accept them as the more covers the better. But I'll close this on Friday no matter how many covers we have, see how it works.

Quick question, would people prefer to get a reminder on Saturday night or Sunday morning, or some other time? I know they're needed, but I don't want to feel too pushy when I send reminders. That's also why I'm reluctant to PM past participants, asking if they want to take part again. Don't want to feel that I'm forcing them, as such.

When I used to host the game I used to send reminders Saturday evening, to make sure members vote before the Sunday closing time. Whenever you are stuck for sending out reminders just yank my chain, I can send out the reminders if needed.

to be fair, unless you've actually spent time on putting a cover together, it's difficult to appreciate how long it can take....everybody has different levels of ability...

it's not strictly a week either is it? even under the "old" system Sun 10pm - Fri 8pm not quite seven days, but least it seemed more structed running that way...most knew the routine etc....of late sometimes starting a post say Tuesday and then expecting all to be in still by a Friday evening i think kind of confuses some?

it's Friday tomorrow and there are only five covers submitted, so something is not "clicking" with the comp at the moment is it? not sure why...*confused*
