SexyBack gone?! Such a disgrace :( How can that horrible dirge What Goes Around do so well in 2007 but this far superior song barely makes it past halfway?

 

Rihanna - Unfaithful! I swear to God if either of her two songs make it in the top three I'm really going to lose my faith in this site!! SOS is admittedly not as bad but it still defines LIMP.

 

I agree. It's a realy pity that SexyBack is gone. :( Although I love What Goes Around and Unfaithful too!! :D I guess I'm easily pleased. :lol:

 

About Chasing Cars, for me at least, I simply think 2006 is a LOT worse than 2007. I'm not a fan of Chasing Cars (although obviously I prefer it to some other songs, hence why I'm still not voting it yet), but I found myself getting round to voting for it very early in 2007.

 

And we're at the top 20, and there's still quite a few songs left that I didn't enjoy.

 

There were some amazing songs this year which I still love, but they're gone. Smack That, Pump It, Beep, Promiscuous. Now SexyBack. :(

 

But I don't think we should get too worked up about this all. :lol: I was literally gutted when Live Your Life went out so early, since it's one of my favourite songs - EVER! And the previous round Take a Bow got voted out, so at that point I was wondering where all the sudden Rihanna hatred came from. :lol:

Although, to be fair, I can see why people liked it. It's quite a love/hate song tbh.

I don't think 2006 is worse than 2007. There are still a lot of bad songs left here, though, but that's more because people have been voting so silly and kicking out some really good songs. But there are still 9 songs here that are LOVELY. In 2007, for me, a lot of the $h!t went out early like it deserved, compared to 2006 when a lot of good songs and "average" ones have been going out early, while the $h!t still remains. But that's my opinion, obviously, which doesn't count for much since I don't think I voted Chasing Cars in 2007 - I neither love it or hate it, although I do think it's probably the worst Snow Patrol song and I like them quite a bit. But I'd probably only get 'round to voting it when like maybe six songs that I really dislike have been removed from this list.

 

And yeah, maybe we will have to include songs in both years now :cry: I'll just hope that JCB Song can become the "Chasing Cars of 2005" - that song didn't deserve to go out in Round 3 at all :angry:

I think there were just more hated songs here- Akon, Chico, X Factor songs- people just forgot about Chasing Cars, which is good as its definitely one of the best songs on the list :lol: of course Superbossanova has a point too

 

although I have noticed a lot of the Chasing Cars haters that were voting in 2007 haven't been voting for it this round- in fact, the only one I've seen thats voting for it is Bray, and occasionally one or two others but nothing more

 

oh and I meant to ask you, are you still going to ignore songs that have been in the list two years in a row? because I think that Chasing Cars has proved songs can do better under different circumstances, and I think in future, all games should be the top 40 even if its the same song

Also, there's always a silver lining. Some songs that I thought would be hated actually stayed relatively long. I wasn't on Buzzjack back when these songs are popular, so sometimes everybody's opinions on these songs surprises me. I thought Ayo Technology would be first out, without question, but it lasted quite a few rounds if I remember correctly! :o Again, I wasn't here at the time, so maybe you all liked it, but that seems like the least Buzzjack friendly song ever! I loved it at the time, obviously (and I still like it a lot now). :lol:

Welcome to my world! :lol: I've thought that so many times. :( 2007 was good in that sense, because I think I liked all of the top 7 or something. Whilst in 2008, I liked the final 2, but I didn't like the song that came 3rd :puke:. 2009 has been the worst for me so far, because I didn't really like any of the top 4. :(

 

I don't actually think Rihanna will win tbh. She's come 2nd place in two of the years. Heck, it's Rihanna, she's destined to end up at #2, yet again! :lol:

 

It's like when I voted Poker Face for like 30 rounds in 2009. Was NOT enjoyable, to see it end up 2nd. :drama:

That song has had loads of votes in previous rounds though. In fact, in one round it had like four votes and was only a few away from the song in the lead. Much to my dismay as I absolutely ADORE it. But it won't win on this site, so don't worry if you're trying to draw attention to the fact it has 0 votes because you don't like it, lol.
