I seriously hope in tommorow's chart update Nicole is number 1!

She's #1! Her lead on iTunes is really big now and The Wanted have fallen to #3. :cheer:

How has this album managed to stay unleaked? Especially after all the songs she's had leak over the months... Impressive, yet annoying :P
Probably because the only place it's getting released is the UK. Albums only really leak if their released in the US or Japan first because they ship them weeks before release.

They leaked last night along with the final Killer Love. I really like Desperate, it'll probably end up being my favourite ballad on the album (not counting Cold of course). Wet is unmistakeably an Only Girl knock-off but it's hella uplifting.

Whole album will be out there by midnight at the latest!

I can't find a torrent download that works. :drama:

Is there anywhere i can listen to the whole album without downloading? Soundcloud?

Edit: Doesn't matter, listening now.

After First Listen -

11 Poison

11 Killer Love

11 Don't Hold Your Breath

05 Right There

06 You Will Be Loved

07 Wet

09 Say Yes

11 Club Banger Nation

03 Powers Out

07 Desperate

05 Everybody

08 Heartbeat (Remix)

05 Casualty

06 AmenJena

-'Poison'/'Killer Love'/'DHYB'/'Say Yes'/'Club Banger Nation' are the Album highlights.

-The Verses in 'Wet' are amazing, but its another example of one of those songs (e.g. 'Can't Be Tamed') where the chorus is limp, and lets down the whole song.

-Totally against the idea of having 'Heartbeat' on the Album, although i can see why they've done it. Although i do like it, i'd rather have had another new Nicole track...

Overall - Not that impressed, theres too many ballads imo and they sound a bit dated. It also feels like the Albums missing something... ('Cold' and 'Guns & Roses'). -_-

7/10

I've listened in full twice now so let's dive in for a rate:

09.0 Poison - being generous

08.5 Killer Love - I reckon in time I'll end up preferring this to Poison though. Future single?

10.0 Don't Hold Your Breath

08.5 Right There - I'm a sucker for pop with an island vibe so naturally I'm a fan. Reminds me of a DD-era PCD song. She even sounds like Melody on the middle 8.

08.0 You Will Be Loved - A bit dated and a lot slushy but I can't help but like it. Her voice is really clear and natural on it. Again reminds me of a Doll Dom ballad.

08.5 Wet - Pretty much the exact same instrumental as Only Girl but I probably like it at least as much as that song. Fantastically feel-good.

09.5 Say Yes - Surely a contender for a future single. By far the most melodic uptempo on here. Triumphant as fuck.

09.0 Cold - Yeah I replaced Power's Out with this icy GEM. Works a treat.

10.0 Club Banger Nation - Capital-H-mazing. It's so preposterous that you can't help but love it. CLUB BANGER NAYSHON! REDONE! NICOLE! That bridge... lush.

08.5 Desperate - Very lovely indeed, by far the most distinctive ballad on the album and she gives it everything vocally.

06.0 Everybody - I guess it had to turn to shit at some point! This one's v boring aside from quite a pretty middle 8 which sounds like it belongs to a different song.

08.0 Heartbeat - Is this a remix? The production sounds more aggressive. It's nice enough but never quite gets going. Still, their VOX are well matched.

07.5 Casualty - Sounds very much like a Spirit-era Leona ballad. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of her rejects. Lovely strings but slightly lacking a hook.

07.0 AmenJena - Well it's very pretty and all that but undeniably dull with it. An acoustic piano ballad isn't exactly what I want from Nicole.

I'd probably scrap AmenJena, Everybody and perhaps Heartbeat for my iTunes playlist but it's a bloody good album. I'm very impressed. It definitely holds its own against the likes of Femme Fatale (and who knows, might even sell more in the UK!).

First listens rate!

10.0 'Poison'

09.0 'Killer Love' [WOW. This is a brilliant track. I'm pretty sure it'll grow into a 10 soon enough!]

10.0 'Don't Hold Your Breath'

07.5 'Right There'

08.5 'You Will Be Loved'

09.5 'Wet'

08.0 'Say Yes'

08.0 'Club Banger Nation' [This is gooood. Although not as good as people make it out to be. It just production sounds quite messy and all over the place to me personally :(]

04.0 'Power Out' (featuring. Sting) [she really is the only saving grace from this. Otherwise, very, very dull...]

09.5 'Desperate' [is it just me, or are her pronunciations (or whatever) quite Leona-ish? ADORE her voice on this!]

06.5 'Everybody'

09.0 'Heartbeat'

06.0 'Casualty' [Just a tad dreary and dull.]

07.0 'AmenJena' [Nice enough song, her vocals are great. But it's forgettable and has no hook...]

Very solid debut effort! Nicole is very lucky to have been given some of RedOne's better songs. Favourites are (excluding the singles) 'Killer Love', 'Wet' and in particular 'Desperate'!

WTF at the lack of love for Power's Out... it's so serene and beautiful. Love it :D

I love this album!

I don't know why but I have a feeling that 'Right There' will be the next single ^_^

I don't like her music... her voice just irritates me.

SADNESS.

Nicole wants Right There apparently but I reckon it'll be Killer Love which would probably work better.
