March 5, 201114 yr I think it'll be another top 10, but it will be very undeserved a la Hold It Against Me
March 5, 201114 yr Two reasons why it won't get number 1: A - It's been released on a Friday - it won't get enough sales this week and the initial sales will wear off come next week B - Spears hasn't released a video and as we know with the last single, that'll result in the single tumbling down the charts quite quickly. March 5, 201114 yr I think top 10 maybe peaking similar to 'Hold It Against Me' so #6. However, I prefer 'HIAM' to 'Til The World Ends' so if 'HIAM' can only peak at #6 in the UK, then this deserves to peak lower. ** shrugs **

Re A : it won't sell enough yesterday/today to seriously undermine it - she ain't Lady Gaga. :P Re B : The video for HIAM didn't have much effect in the end - I estimate it boosted sales by no more than 3k, had it come out before release, it would have puhed her up to #5, at best.

Hence there is no video for 'Til The World Ends' so why would this song perform any better in the UK charts? If a video had been shot and sent to all music channels then that would definitely help the song sell. Anyways, the video for 'HIAM' was a complete anti climax imo. I thought there was going to be some epic type video considering the hype. The end result looked more a "behind the scenes" MTV News report.
March 5, 201114 yr Hopefully this song helps 'HIAM' climb aswell. So glad shes back ! http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lhdh96Uxip1qa9vqgo1_500.gif
March 5, 201114 yr I think top 10, but I hope #1, if only to make up for Hold It Against Me not going to #1. :(
March 5, 201114 yr About #8 and I haven't even heard it yet. She's just not popular enough in the UK imo for her to ever trouble the #1 spot in the download era.
March 5, 201114 yr Well when we know that she did only 1 live performance in UK in last 8 years, of course that she have troubles to get number 1. Promotion is magic.

When you say that, that doesn't really look that great. I mean, I can understand for the Blackout era, but with other songs that's quite bad. She needs to get out and do some promotion, she said that there would be loads of promotion for the album/single, we've only got one confirmed performance, in America, in another 3 weeks. :(
March 5, 201114 yr Ok...i'm going to keep my head out of hate (as much as i can ) Song is better than HIAM so that's a good thing! But why on earth she would release the song just right now? (well probably in US may give her a number 1 but here no way)! HIAM released just 2 months ago! Think: Top 10 Want: Don't care so gone with Top 40! Edited March 5, 201114 yr by nicco
March 5, 201114 yr They're releasing it now because that's the right thing to do to prevent losing too many sales to illegal downloaders. People have been complaining about the gap between premiere and release for ages, now they've finally changed it people are complaining about instant releases. :drama:

I just think it won't help much HIAM, as radio will start promoting the new one while the previous one is still new!
