So pleased this is set to chart well on Sunday! "On My Own" didn't deserve to do as badly as it did.

I liked 'On My Own', but this is majestic! I've only just heard it recently, fantastic in just about every way. Contemporary, fresh, soulful, emotive and lots of hooks.

this is quite nice on first listen, I think it will be a grower, so I may need to give it a few more listens to get into it

 

but yeah, the verses sound exactly like Year 3000 :lol:

'On My Own' was bland, outdated and boring :(

 

This song (still slightly outdated) however is amazing. I love :wub: It deserves to be top ten on Sunday but it will fall from its midweek position as its frontloaded, hopefully only to 12,11 or even better 10 :heart:

For those who aren't that big Yasmin fans, her songs are outdated on purpose. That's her whole inspiration, late and early 90s music. She's trying to bring trip-hop and 90s type of music back I guess. .

Going to miss the top 10 on Sunday despite being #8 in the midweeks. #12 in today's. So gutted. :( She's now #14 on iTunes and probably #13 combined (ahead of Inna).

Ended at #13. Apparently she was a bit gutted but it's really not a bad result and far better than I'd expected given how 'low key' the song is...

 

Anyway her sampler is amazing, Told You So and 999 particularly (the latter should be the next single, it's more commercial than either single so far). On My Own has grown on me massively so. Givin' Up is the least instant song on there and probably bordering on filler but still a nice enough little ballad.

This has finally grown on me! :lol: If you took out the 'Busted-esque' sounding verses, I'd like it alot more :( Still prefer 'On My Own'. But interested to see what her album sounds like :D

Agreed, that could have been brilliant but it falls SO flat.

What even IS IT? I managed about 90 seconds. Is it her own single or just some random feature? This girl needs to unleash 999 already although with Emeli Sandé doing the same thing a little bit better I fear her moment has passed/will never come.
