I did laugh when I saw this album in the 'bestsellers' rack in Sainsbury's the other day. :lol: Surely, if it was a 'bestseller', it would at least be in your Top 60 chart, no? :unsure:

I'm sure most people in the UK have heard music by Alex, Your Beautiful was James' first successful song so helped to kickstart his fanbase is what I mean. I'm very aware that an artist's fanbase continually changes, more just stating an artists' breakthrough hit is surely another story?

I think you may be right sadly. She's been trending all day on Twitter after T4 on the Beach and quite frankly the nastiness towards her is unbelievable. She can be a bit abrasive but Jesus its shocking some of it.

Oh I know, there's one particular account (@KatieWeasel) which is vile towards her (and Leona Lewis come to think of it). The account tweets things like:

'They keep going on a dark horse in Eurovision, never knew Alexandra Burke was entering'

'Is Alexandra Burke up for a Brit tongiht? She should easily get best male'

'Alexandra Burke has more facial hair than all of One Direction combined... Oh and she can't sing'

 

as well as 'family reunion' with a picture of Leona, Alexandra and a horse. The account can be hilarious (that one was pretty clever tbf) the stuff they say about Alex is vile.

Surely all Alexandra Burke lookalike suggestions begin and end with John Fashanu?

Tbh I don't think it's those kind of accounts thats the problem, they are meant to be offensive if that makes sense and they do it to a lot of celebs. Today though it was just people sitting at home watching the show on TV, just "normal" and I use that word lightly viewers. Really nasty stuff. So bad I felt compelled to tweet and say how bad it was. I got 10 retweets! Comments similar to "Alexandra Burke surely one of the 10 worst humans EVER" I mean seriously!! The worst crime she's done is be a bit over confident at times and at least she has the goods to back it up!

torresgirl - Yeah I agree with your last comment, she's not done anything that bad aside from maybe be slightly annoying at times and I can see why she's perceived as cocky for some. There are FAR worse celebrities than her who get off relatively scott-free!
