I like Someone Like You, but would have preferred it if Rolling In The Deep had done as well instead

I have it at 210k+ , which is pretty good considering it's the 3rd Single from the album & The Club Is Alive being the lead single only sold 250k

I have 213.5k for it.

Nicole 100%.

Adele 78% of Nicole (+6%)

The Wanted 56% of Nicole (-0.33%)

The Wanted 71.79% of Adele (-6.45%)

Jessie 52.67% of Nicole (+4%)

Jessie 65.72% of Adele (-1.87%)

Jessie 94.05% of The Wanted (+7.66%)

The trends are pretty much continuing from last time, only Jessie is now gaining on Nicole.

A bit shocked The Wanted are still #3! :o I was expecting to see them at #4 behind Price Tag by now.

The BEPs up to #12!! :w00t: New iTunes peak!! :o

Mann/50 Cent up to #19!!!! :cheer: I hope this song becomes really popular! It's really fun. :D

Snoop Dogg/David Guetta up to #23!! :D

Jeremih/50 Cent up to #24. I can't believe this song is so popular tbh. I wouldn't think people would like it this much. I also can't believe that I thought he was called Jeremiah ever since Birthday Sex! :drama: (Or should I say, "Birthday shhhhhhhhh"!).

Warren G/Nate Dogg up to #27! I don't think it's going to make top 40 this week though. :(

Kanye West up to #29!! :o Happy to see this, although I wonder why it's taking off so late.

Price Tags staying power is literally Bizarre. I wish it was "Do It Like A Dude" seeing this success :(

I'll be interested in seeing how much 'Gold Forever' sells this week. I'd be surprised if it doesn't sell more than what 'Heart Vacancy' did - both first week and total sales. It's only Wednesday, if their sales continue to tail off then Jessie J could well end up overtaking. :o

When does the video to 'Just Can't Get Enough' by BEP premiere? As I mentioned last night, the video will give the track a big boost - a top 5 contender for sure.

I listened to 'Sweat' last night and it's pretty decent but I'm disappointed David Guetta has used the melody from Felix 'Don't You Want Me' in the track. As much as the Felix track is a 90s dance anthem, it's boring to hear the melody being used in other dance tracks. It was used in 'Feels Like Home' by Meck only last year. They need to try and create a new melody that's just as Euphoric.

Meh, couldn't care less about Jeremiah - I think it's crap, just my opinion. :P

I was wondering why Warren G/Nate Dogg was being mentioned. That's really tragic news about the death of Nate Dogg. To think he was the same age as my older brother. 42 is such a young age to die. :(

As for Kanye West, not sure why it's taken this long to take off as it's such an instant hit to me. At least it's starting to grow in popularity - could well become a big slow burning hit.

^ I think the video to Just Can't Get Enough premieres on Thursday? I'm not 100% sure though.

You know what I've not really got about some of these songs though?

How are they actually selling so well on so little promotion? I mean, I don't think songs like Sweat, Down On Me, Buzzin' and All of the Lights are in the top 40 on either TV or radio airplay. None of them have come here to do live performances or anything. I've just never really got this. It's not like Mann and Jeremih are massive names, either. And none of those songs have done that well in the US either, so I don't think that can be the reason.

Imagine how well they could be doing if they had the airplay that Someone Like You is getting! :o Although I think most songs would be top 10 hits if they got to #1 on the airplay charts to be fair.

Well I've seen the video to 'Buzzin' quite a few times - espcially on MTV Base. I was surprised to see 'All Of The Lights' also being played on MTV Base one morning last week. Quite a brave move considering the video is mostly a seizure attack in the form of typography!!!

Perhaps the rise of YouTube is a playing factor. Many people, myself included, discover tracks via YouTube - even if you didn't actually search for the track, a video in the "Suggestions" column might grab your attention. That might be how people have discovered 'Sweat' this week?

You're right, if these tracks got heavy backing from radio stations, the increase airplay would help sell the song. It's never going to happen though because we have enough MOR radio stations like Century Radio that are quite happy playing Celine Dion, The Beautiful South and Westlife. :P Although that said there is Galaxy 102 which I'd assume have playlisted these tracks?

I remember seeing the snoop and guetta collab as an article on the big top 40 website about a week ago with a link to the song

Oo yeh. I completely forgot about Comic Relief. I wonder when they'll be back from Denmark then..

It really does deserve to beat TCIA. TCIA being their worst single and EWS their best (or 2nd best after OS)

JLS's 3rd singles do seem to be their best and only non-number 1s which is weird.

Galaxy doesn't exist anymore! It's merged with Capital, which makes Capital one of the biggest stations in the country now.

Galaxy would've definitely be playing Down On Me and All of the Lights now. Not sure if they'd be playing the others yet. Galaxy was one of the top 40 stations (i.e. we play the charts on rotate), but it was also an urban radio station (I believe at first it was a station for only RnB, hip hop, etc, but then started playing popular songs from other genres), so Galaxy favoured urban songs, but as a top 40 station, they'd still have to play a rock song, or a country song, or whatever if it got popular. So, basically, yes, Galaxy would be very likely to be playing those songs now, I would think.

I listen to Capital a lot, and I haven't heard any of those songs yet, but it'll start playing them soon if they keep climbing, I'd suspect.

I agree about youtube. I'm the same, sometimes I spend like half an hour just going from suggested video to suggested video.

Sweat is Scott Mills Record of the Week on Radio 1, so could be getting a boost from that

Possibly. I remember Alors on danse got to like #22 or something when it was Scott Mills's record of the week! So it can help. I think those songs are in similar situations. At the time when Scott Mills was playing Alors on danse, he must've been literally the only person playing the song on the radio in the country!

I hope 'All Of The Lights' peaks in the Top 30!

Chuffed that Nicole is still #1  I hope she performs on Comic Relief on Friday! If she does that would pretty much seal #1 for her.

Oh, and R.I.P to Nate Dogg :(

I just heard Sweat. It's pretty good, glad to see it's not just IGF/CCHM part 102515241.

Yeah, it doesn't sound like any of David Guetta's recent singles, which is good. I think the fact that, firstly, he was remixing one of Snoop Dogg's songs, and secondly, he sampled a melody from another song, resulted in him not having enough wiggle room to have the song end up sounding like his others. I think often when a producer is left completely to their own devices, they end up with a lot of similar sounding songs.

Although one of his upcoming songs seems to sound exactly like Sexy Chick. But hopefully he'll change it up a bit before it's finally released.

I Gotta Feeling is kind of a mixture of two of David Guetta's type of songs. It's like Club Can't Handle Me, in the sense that it manages to sound happy and sad at the same time (guess that's accomplised with his choice of chord progression and having those synths which sound a bit like Strings), and it's also one of those guitar-strumming songs that David Guetta comes up with from time to time, like Love is Gone and Gettin' Over You.

And does anybody find it amusing that David Guetta didn't get credited on his biggest ever song? I bet he's a bit gutted about that tbh, although most people seem to know he produced it anyway, although there's probably a lot of people out there who presume will.i.am produced it (which is understandable, even though it doesn't sound like a will.i.am song).

Yeh :( But I guess it's good in a way as it keeps the album selling rather than if they had released Eyes Wide Shut first and The Club Is Alive 3rd

True. Although I always wondered what if they released their 3rd singles 1st. Like the other day I was imagining if they released One Shot as their first ever single. Everybody would've been like "Wow! :o", I reckon.

Although it can be good to save the better ones for later. Like you said, it can give the album more consistency, and it probably looks better for an artist if their songs are getting progressively better, than progressively worse, even though it shouldn't really matter since it's the same songs.
