Yeah It was 39.9% :(

 19 because of Adele - Someone Like You :(

Edited by lee wallace

I still have faith it will climb and will remain stable once the radio & television really kicks into full effect.
Did this chart in Spain then?

We'll know tomorrow evening, although I don't have any hopes. iTunes isn't very relevant here.

#23 in the mids.. ouch.

However, I've just been looking at artists above them and this is how it looks

MIDWEEK - ARTIST/TRACK - ITUNES POSITION NOW

#15 - Lady Gaga / Judas - #27 & #39

#17 - Lady Gaga / Born This Way - #23

#21 - Lady Gaga / Edge of Glory - #28

#22 - Adele / Rolling In The Deep - #24

The Sats are currently at #19 and everone above them in the mids is below them on iTunes. I think Notorious could climb a few places before the week is out. We'll get a better picture when we can see the full top 40 tomorrow in the Chart Update.

Hardly a surprise. Expected really. They can't complain either since they're building most of their promo at the end of June. Ridiculous.. bet they regret that decision now. I hope they've something big lined up but as I'm sure we are all used to by now as Saturdays fans, won't be getting my hopes up.

I just don't see what it takes for them to push themselves up to the next level. What is it? They have all the right ingredients.. is it just the mangement? The general perception of them seems to be a group who are just 'there', sailing along with an air of indifference.. how can they change this? They need to push themselves to a new level. Hopefully the new album can aid this.. but again, won't be getting my hopes up. :(

Read somewhere the other day, can't remember where, that being a fan of The Saturdays is like 'waiting for a bus that never comes'. So true.

Completely agree with this.

It's down to their management. Yes they get some of it right (OK I can't think of an example right now) but the magority I sware they just pick out of a hat. "When shall we release it... *picks out of the hat* MAY! When shall we promote it... *picks out of the hat* END OF JUNE! Shall we get you on Britains Got Tallent... *picks out of hat* NO!"

They got it so right at the beginning (and I think that was down to Jayne), but I'll agree that she contributed to the balls-up of Wordshaker which lead to them parting ways.. only to join forces with their administrated label. They seemed to be clinging on to safe routes by going with Fascination Management and not 'shopping round' for a new team which they should have done. 3(4) albums in and they're still at the point where they're just "sailing along with the air" as you put it.

It's so flustrating because the foundation is there, they're just not been pushed, and I think their team are relying on their 'celeb status' way too much.. no matter how many times Marvin appears in a flip video it wont sell your record.

Notorious better do a u-turn soon when it picks up radio and video play properly or else this will be a complete laughing stock.

2ndAdventure I agree with everything you said there.

It is frustrating knowing the Saturdays could be big but the label don't do enough! I would love to see Saturdays go to Nicole Scherzingers label more than anyone, they know how to use an artist. Look at Nicoles promotion.. XFactor>>DancingOnice>>>BGT.

However they're back up to 19 on iTunes and are very stable.. I expect them tog o back up to 17th on iTunes.

Edit  18

LOL Watching Smashhits and their 'Tuesday Chart Update' and Notorious is #5. Someone seems to be confused xD

LOOL, Most epic statement I've read and I couldn't agree with it any more. It's pathetic the way their management runs things. Unless they have a massive plan that's being kept top secret. Otherwise the girls and the management are waay too relaxed for NO reason.

UMPH. I was very underwhelmed with this on first listen, and didn't bother going back to it, but I saw the video on Saturday and it sparked a LOVE for this song! It's so good and the video is amazing! It's fast on its to way to becoming my favourite song of theirs - 'Up' is well past that title, and 'Ego', although I still love, it's not as amazing as it once was. So we'll just give this time now and it's only going to carry on growing.

21.3% Nicole Scherzinger 'Right There'

20.0% Jennifer Lopez 'On The Floor'

19.0% Adele 'Someone Like You'

18.7% The Saturdays 'Notorious'

Should hopefully overtake Adele soon.

I don't think it will be my most fav from them, but it's definitely better for me than anything on 'Wordshaker' / 'Headlines', material on which was quite underwhelming for me in general. The song on its own merit is indeed very good, its structure is original and catchy.

Consedering they were 0.9% Behind Adele after last night I think they will go up to 17th tonight!

Come to think of it, Polydor really is a awful, awful label.

Girls Aloud - Succesfull!

Sophie Ellis Bextor - Major Flop

Alphabeat - Major Flop apart from 2 songs which didin't have Massive sucess.

Miley Cyrus - Flop aswell, she's had alright promotion not as good as what it should be.

Selena Gomez - One Hit Wonder.

Jonas Brothers - No Sucess.

The only people that are doing well for Polydor are Eminem (But Polydor don't really do much, he dosen't promote) Lady Gaga & Nicole Scherzinegr. It seems as if the Saturdays management are not doing as much as they should... Same shows & same promotion for over 2years really isin't ambitious despite nearly selling over 2million sales in uk.

The Saturdays could be big but somebody said the best thing ever that sums up being a Sats fan " waiting for a bus that never comes"

Fascination was created for Girls Aloud primarily - then they got given all the Disney rejects (Miley Cyrus etc). It's no wonder they went out of business and had to merge back with Polydor.

Miley Cyrus is a babe! Her record sales are also brilliant apart from CBT.
