May 20, 201114 yr Vevo really didn't do this song justice. It sounds even better in HQ. I don't think anyone should be expecting it to race up iTunes. The Sats are hardly Lady Gaga afterall. I think on-air/on-sale for this wasn't the best decision but we'll see how it goes in the UK.

I hope we're all watching So You Think You Can Dance tommorow for their performance and to see Frankie smack Mollie's bum!
May 20, 201114 yr Does anyone else just cheer when you hear this song? This song really puts me in a good mood.

They have promo however tomorrow, but nothing else has been confirmed or found in the TV guide for the rest of the week - scary thought. I hope they're not relying on So You Think You Can Dance being their core promo performance because the ratings have been apauling this series which has lead to the BBC axing it - 2-3m views, not exactly Strictly or Xfactor ratings is it. On air/on sale has pretty much screwed over every artist who's used it this year on their pre-album singles. I don't think anyone who debuted the track to radio whilst similtaniously releasing it to iTunes actually got to #1? This well be very interesting to see where it charts. And it's not like we've got a huge amount of pre-orders or physical copies this time to bump the sales up for the Tuesday midweeks as the pre-order has only been out a week on iTunes (not even in the Top 200 albums) and physical copies aren't out 'till June 27th. Very intrigued to see how this will go. I love Notorious, hope the track and the girls get #1 with this. We'll see..

As you say, it hasn't really worked great for many others because the sales are spread out instead of condensed into one week. It's a very risky strategy because it gives the perception that a song is "flopping" and can kill it before it has even got started.

But Price Tag was promoted before it went on/air and the video came out the day aswell. Notorious will not flop imo.... Sales for number one this week are going to be 60k.... next week should be around 55-57k Maybe Notorious can do that!

I think she had performed it on TV once on Jools Holland a few months prior. Yes the video did come out which undoubtedly helped as well as all the hype about Jessie at the time. I just don't think The Sats have enough interest right now but we will see.

I seen there music video at least 10 times on 4music in 2-3hours. They have What goes on tour all over the channels, their new video has picked up 150,000views in two days.
May 21, 201114 yr I honestly think they will be fine. Even if they don't get a top-3 peak the sales will be VERY consistent. I say: perfect release strategy. By the way, Sugababes will do exactly the same with their new single 'Freedom' later!
May 21, 201114 yr Has anyone seen the Koko pop performance yet? I just woke up so I just about missed it :(
May 21, 201114 yr Is this song getting a physical release? I've not seen it anywhere. I suspect it could be one of their first songs not to be released on CD single.
May 21, 201114 yr Is this song getting a physical release? I've not seen it anywhere. I suspect it could be one of their first songs not to be released on CD single. 27th June. It's avaliable for pre-order on their official website, where if you do so, you get a signed copy.
May 21, 201114 yr I watched Koko Pop and all they showed was an interview and a clip of the video. No performance
May 21, 201114 yr Quite Impressive in two days to bring in 175,000views! Hope they reach 200,000 tonight.
May 21, 201114 yr Why is everyone disappointed at it at #19 in Ireland? The slower it climbs, the better - Then when they promote, there will be more people to buy it.... And I really need to change my sig :(
May 21, 201114 yr ^ It's #22 now so it's already falling lol. Granted older songs tend to rise at the weekend which is probably the case here, it's not off to a good start. But who cares about Irish charts, to be honest. Edited May 21, 201114 yr by Neil
May 21, 201114 yr Una claimed that 'If This Is Love' wasn't released in Ireland, but it actually was, it just missed the Top 50. I still find it strange how hard it failed there. Anyway, makes me think Una doesn't pay much attention to the Irish chart. :P
