I just think you summed it up perfectly when you suggested it'd be like 'In The Zone' and 'Blackout' baby if they were to have sex, or whatever it was you said.

I'm not giving anything other than that as I can't review things properly  I'll start off decently, but then I find myself repeating things

Till The World Ends – 5.5/10 – Generic yes, and it grew old fast, but it’s still an infectious pop song.

Hold It Against Me – 7.5/10 – The beat and production is a lot fresher than TTWE, was the perfect choice for lead single.

Inside Out – 6.5/10 – It’s nice to get a slow song, and it’s very slick, and the lyrics have an edge and darkness to them the other songs don’t. Surprised because I didn’t like the clip.

I Wanna Go – 7.5/10 – Now this is what I’m talking about, does what TTWE does but far, far better. It’s more fun and the whistles is a nice production flourish that gives it an edge over just being a generic club banger <3

How I Roll – 10/10 – Excellent and as has been said, it’s very Robyn-esq, the production is fantastic, and the piano background gives it an almost emotional edge, very layered. Probably the only song from the album I can still see myself listening to six months from now.

(Drop Dead) Beautiful- 4/10 – Don’t like her voice in it, in fact it borders on irritating, especially the "I can be your honey tonight" line. It’s generic and forgettable: filler. Even Sabi doesn’t do much for me. The worst on the album.

Seal It With A Kiss – 9/10 – Wonderful song, the dubstep breakdown and beat is fantastic and the backing vocals help it float along in a dream-like way.

Big Fat Bass – 6/10 – Guilty pleasure from the album, I think it works well despite the negative comments about it. It's filler though, and should have been replaced with something that could have diversified the album more.

Trouble For Me – 6.5/10 – The production is v good and I like her vocals in it. The chorus is a bit of a let down though. Same comment as above, four club banging songs in a row is a bit too much.

Trip to Your Heart -8/10 – Lovely, dream-like trance song. Once again the middle 8 is very Robyn-esq.

Gasoline – 7/10 – Really like her vocals in this, solid song, really like the Middle 8 as well. Very Britney-sounding.

Criminal – 10/10 – Brilliant closing song, the melody, vocals, middle 8 and that flute! These last two tracks are very classic Britney. Another song I will be listening to long after the other more production/club heavy songs have vanished from my memory.

1) How I Roll – 10/10

2) Criminal – 10/10

3) Seal It With a Kiss – 9/10

4) Trip to Your Heart – 8/10

5) Hold It Against Me – 7.5/10

6) I Wanna Go – 7.5/10

7) Gasoline – 7/10

8) Inside Out – 6.5/10

9) Trouble for Me – 6.5/10

10) Big Fat Bass – 6/10

11) Till The World Ends – 5.5/10

12) (Drop Dead) Beautiful – 4/10

Overall her album is strong, but it’s not particularly diverse and the autotune can be a bit too much to listen to after a while, it would be nice if we could have another Trip To Your Heart or Criminal on there. Maybe on the bonus tracks?

My Femme Fatale review (yes, I sold my soul to the devil and downloaded the album):

As expected by many fans, Britney returned at last with an album full of possible hits: the club banger-filled Femme Fatale. It was mentioned before, but it is very appropiate to remark that this new album is as if it'd have been a product of a love affair between her previous solid efforts Blackout and In The Zone. Why is this notorious even on first listen? Because Femme Fatale has the creativity and fresh sound that In The Zone had (and still has, in my opinion) when released in 2003, but it's also as consistent and solid as Blackout, full of club hits, lacking of that one ballad we actually don't need considering the strenght of the album.

All in all, the album includes instant smashes in the form of the two singles Hold It Against Me and Till The World Ends, plus possible future ones with 'I Wanna Go', 'The Big Fat Bass' (the ultimate grower) and even the mid-tempo 'Criminal'; which is, in my opinion, the album's highlight and perfect closer.

Having read some people's opinion, I have to say I differ with their idea that the album is samey. Instead, where they see 'samey' I see 'consistence' and 'fluency', to give you an example of what I feel when I listen to the album in full.

Lyrics-wise, there's not much difference with Blackout, the songs are full of words about sexy affairs and 'taking her freak out tonight', but there's a very tender moment both lyrically and musically in the form of 'Trip To Your Heart', a song that reflects Britney at her lovely best since her early eras.

Overall, the album is a great pop record and I really believe this is the album Britney wanted to do, something that links it even more with Blackout and In The Zone and something that Circus clearly lacked of: Britney's drive and input.

OK, so I was loving HIAM and especially TTWE before I got a hold of the album; then I listened to it and after only one listen I was already sick of it.

I've been wanting to go through it again, but the sole idea of it bores me to death. I even skip TTWE when it comes up on shuffle! FEMME FATALE sounded quite alright to me on first listen, but I instantly grew tired of it!

Tell me fellow Britney fans, what should I do?

I got me into listening Seal It With a Kiss. Brilliant track.

Can't really go further with the album, still sick of TTWE... :(

Maybe I'll get to it after listening to the deluxe tracks! :)

You should perhaps try putting the album on shuffle when you're listening to it. I find it works wonders for me after an album I really wanted to like, but disappointed me. It worked for Gabriella Cilmi's album for me. (It debuted at #2 in my album chart after doing this.)

Always start on Track 10 too :kink: Lol. Just kidding, start with 'Seal It With a Kiss' (your favourite) and then shuffle it maybe?

Till The World Ends - 10 - Brilliant single choice, and while it's generic is AMAZING loud!

Hold It Against Me - 9.5 - Great lead single, deserved to do better in the UK :(

Inside Out - 10 - Criminally underrated, she does mid-tempo so well! This reminds me of E.T. by Katy Perry for some reason!

I Wanna Go - 10 - Brilliant song in the vain of the two singles, would be a good 4th single after something slightly different

How I Roll - 4 - Umm... The less said about this the better....

(Drop Dead) Beautiful - 7 - Good attempt at R&B, but falls a bit flat and something is missing for me...

Seal It With A Kiss - 7.5 - Good song that sounds like it would fit in on Circus for me but still something missing here...

Big Fat Bass - 8 - Bit repetitive but I like it! Will.I.AM is a good addition!

Trouble For Me - 8.5 - Great! The wonky bassline at the begining gets stuck in my head for ages

Trip To Your Heart - 10 - A highlight for me, manages to remind us why we love Britney's music while keeping fresh!

Gasoline - 6 - A bit hit and miss for me, strangley reminds me of Mmm Papi :P

Criminal - 10 - AMAZING! I love a Britney ballad, and while it isn't a piano ballad like I hoped it's a great R&B ballad closer!

1. Criminal

2. Inside Out

3. Till The World Ends

4. Trip To Your Heart

5. I Wanna Go

6. Hold It Against Me

7. Trouble For Me

In a nutshell, her best album imo and I agree with the In The Zone/Blackout baby point - sums it up perfectly, although I hear Circus in it a bit too! :)
